Fear = Knowledge?

Hhahahhaahahaa... yeah aiight mayn.

Oh yeah, when you are speaking, are you afraid to say GOD? Instead of saying the word God do you say "Gd" without the AH sound in the middle?

I already know why you *spell* it G-d, but I was asking that when you are speaking, are you afraid to *say* GOD? Instead of saying the word God do you *say* "Gd" without the AH sound in the middle?

Ok.

As far as fear of God goes, what exactly is the nature of your fear?

To be honest, I do have a fear of God, but not of Him sending me to hell or punishing me, I have fear in the sense that I fear forgetting about Him again like I did when I first fell into this ocean of material nescience. We are all floating around in an ocean of misery and uncertainty, and God is the only life raft capable of getting us out of this condition. Just as one fears losing that life raft, I fear losing my connection with Him.

What else is there to fear? Pain? Suffering? Punishment? This material world already is nothing more than a source of misery and is basically a form of punishment and prison in itself. We desired to serve our Self rather than serve God and so He said "Ok, go ahead, try to become God". Poof we are plunged into this world of illusion and suffering where everyone is trying to get rich or die tryin. But God eternally owns everything, so our efforts to become Him are useless.

God does not want frightened followers. He is love and ecstasy personified and it is to our benefit to associate with that love and pleasure. Fear is a temporary condition, and God is the one who dispells all fear.

Krsna says in the Bhagavad-Gita Ch. 18 Verse 66:

"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear."

That's God telling you *not* to fear. If you fear something that means you have doubts, and there should be no doubts when it comes to God and His love of all beings.

I will not accept ANYTHING on faith. Reason is one's only guide to knowledge, faith is excluded. If theistic doctrines must be accepted on faith, theism is excluded. A rational man will be without theistic belief, and therefor atheistic.
Nonsense. You have faith that your reasoning is correct. There is a fundemental philosophical principle which says that one cannot prove a negative. So there exists no proof that God does not exist, therefore you have FAITH that your BELIEF in His non-existence is correct!

The "I am above faith" argument is illogical, or have you not studied Descartes, Hume, etc?

@ Vyasadeva: That is YOUR god telling YOU not to fear. You worship a false god! This is why I fear the true G-d, Yeshua Hamashiach L-rd Almight In Heaven Adonai.

ISAIAH 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the L-rd is his treasure.

@MID-E

2nd Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Whenever it says to be "God-fearing", it does not mean in the same sense as being afraid. It is told us in order so people do not attempt to place themselves above or even on the same level as God. It is told us in order to humble ourselves before the divine. Because we are all dependent on Him. Without Him we are nothing.

You are absolutely right nynewunsixx.

Micah 6:8 He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Have I ever said god does not exist? lol, I suggest you look up the definition of Atheism. I do not have ***Faith*** at all. I use LOGIC & REASON to attain knowledge, NOT faith.
You are being intellectually dishonest.

I said that you have FAITH that your LOGIC & REASON are correct!

I did not say that you use faith to attain knowledge, and I do not use faith to attain knowledge either, so your point is empty.

Atheism:

1. Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods.
2. The doctrine that there is no God or gods.

Now you have said you are an atheist. Therefore you either:

A.) Believe there IS NO God, or
B.) Do not believe there is a God

In *either* case, you are believing in a NEGATIVE. You have some conception of what "God" is, and you believe that this conception is false and does not exist.

The axiomatic truth is that negatives cannot be PROVEN. Therefore the LOGIC & REASON you use to rationalize a belief in something UNPROVEN, proves that you are relying on FAITH.

My God is your God, and your God is my God. Your claim that Krsna is false is baseless. You are like the atheist who says that God is false.

There is only ONE GOD.

This one God has innumerable names yet He is not divided.

Just like I am known by many different names yet I am one person, God is not different.
