Yall are trippin, Lil john's label offered mac dre a part like what E-40 does with them now, but Dre rejected it because he has his own label and wanted to do his own thang straight up. It was in an interview I'll post it soon. The interview was back in 03......

i dont think Dre would even make it to MTV, think about it, the only reason the bay blew was cuz he died. all the white kids jumped on the bandwagon of mac dre, then to the thizz bandwagon which turned into the mistah fab bandwagon and then the bay got exposure. besides too short and a few others the bay would still be behind in the rap game. its sad but its true.
yeah no white people liked dre before he died

If Mac Dre were alive he would not be half as popular as he was in the wake of his death. His career wouldn't have had the priviledge of not being hated based on being considered a Bay Area legend slain before he got the chance to get what he deserved. I do on the other hand think that he would have done better than the Mac Dre wanna be's trying to take all of his flare and make it their own. I don't think he would changed the game, but it would have been nice to see him get the chance to.

dre had plenty of oppritunities that would have allowed him to blow up mainstream but he woulda lost control of his own shit...i dont think he woulda changed he he was still alive...i think he would focus on makin thizz big instead of being on mtv...and real talk dre is my favorite rapper but i cant really see the east or the south like really accepting dre as a dope mc....maybe im wrong

if he made it to MTV or BET the whole bay would be mainstream and every single song on the radio would be a bay area one and all bay area rappers would run around the country skipping holding hands.

what if if was a fifth, we'd all be drunk...

there's no telling what would have happened, but unfortunately the bay blew up because he died... it is unfortunate that it took that to cause the bay to get recognition.
