im not a fab fan at all,i give him credit on what he tryin to do and his label,but thats where it stops.he's aragant as a rapper and thinks he tha freestyle king,blood ive seen that nigga walk outta mc battles back in tha days and i remember there wuz a cypher goin on and there wuz sum dude killin it and fab wuz just damn,and that wuz b4 thizz.
People get down to anything in the club. When you're having a good time it doesn't matter what's playing, trust that. When I was in L.A. they were clownin. And it wasn't scraps. Hyphy is lame, don't let your taste for it blind you. Everyone thinks we are a bunch of ignorant jackasses, regardless of what you tell yourself.

Mac Dre and The Team are the only ones I don't mind. The Team actually shows skill and Mac Dre's shit was original. He had some tight jams, but none of them were on that hyphy tip.

But it's obvious you're either telling yourself people like this hyphy bullshit outside of this area, or you happened to come across some folks who don't mind it in other states. But I know for a fact that people look down on us because of the hyphy movement. I interract with people from all over the place at work, and everyone has the same views.. I'm talkin hundreds of people from all areas, and plus my cousins and homeboys out of state say the same shit.

But it has substance in it, it's has shit we can relate too, and not full of crap. Keak da Sneak is hella whack, I quit on him after anything despues de Copium. Mac Dre, no problem, San Quinn No Problem, then team and Federation no problem. But Oldies was before hip-hop, and if you include funk as Oldies which in some eyes is in that genre, R&B along with Funk, Inspired rap. Oldies and Funk shit on the recent music scene, the Old Nas is better than the Hip Hop Nas, The Old E-40 was better then the sugar coated 40. Oldies over anything playing now a days, EVEN OVER HOMEBOY RAP!
i wasn't being specific and didn't mean to come on a thread you made sounding like i was talking about you. if the way you act is because of your natural response to your environment, and you're being real, than that's good. but i see way too many people acting that way and i know they all didn't grow up in the ghettos with black people.
i've seen it first hand, white kids coming outside to talk to me, talking that slang... then mom comes outside to ask them a question and they "white up"... they go home and be themselves. they come outside and they act like someone else.
on the other hand, an old homie from vallejo got locked out of his grandmas house at like 2am one night and i dropped him off, this guy was banging on her window like, "grandma, let me in blood"... haha
speaking of Ast, my father is from Ast (but he's ben locked up with the L since the late 80's). i wonder if i know you somehow. i'll pm...

hyphy was basically created so that the dis-organized rap in the bay can fall under a single category and be easily brought together under one 'trend'.. back in the day before hyphy everybody had they're own styles.. their own message... their own image... but hyphy came along and the artists got lazy and didnt have to stand out in a crowd, they had to conform to become PART of it..they dont have to be original because hyphy has already set its own standard.. "shake your head" "pop thizz" "go dumb".. so as you can see its already gettin played out... because there is no substance.. if u ask, "what is the message in hyphy" its the same ol "have fun" "party"... well thats all well and good to a point but if you base your entire movement/image and message on some feel good party shit your setting limits on yourself... there is no serious message in bay music today.. its all seen as a joke..
since the artists dont have to compete to be original they can just slap together some sub-par lyrics to a crunk sounding beat and call it hyphy...
