But as for the topic, the purpose of life is to realize that we are actually spiritual beings, and NOT the material bodies which act as a prison for the soul.

Honestly I think about this alot. What is the purpose of life? Is it to have a successful career or raise children or travel the world or experience as many different things as you can or have as much fun as possible?

All of the above I would say would be ideal. To make the most of it, because life is too short to waste.

There is obviously no right or wrong answer.

Truth.

I just see people taking certain paths or people defining their life by petty things. And especially my father, literally all he does is work eat & sleep, he rarely ever goes anywhere besides work and home. And to me that's like a waste of life.

So any thoughts?

If you want to believe there is a deep complex purpose to life then all the power to you. But really, in my mind, it's pretty clear, as it is in yours. So, it's all about what you believe and what you put your faith and time and passion into. I believe my purpose of life is my family. Everything works for that. My career and my success is for my family. To make my grandfather proud, to feed my seeds. To have fun and see the world, that's for my family. What good is it if your seeing and experiencing these things alone?

So, yeah. The purpose is what you make of it through your beliefs and your actions. It's sad to see people waste it, but it happens.
