I like your style n9newunsixx5150, you put forth a good argument, unlike that dirth shoez bloke who all too often rests the strength of his argument on the word 'verily'.
You still don't convince me though.
I don't feel the need to concoct my own morals as I like our societies morals just the way they are. Contrary to what you probably think, I always endeavour to do good rather than bad based on these exact morals. I am simply stating that morals were not developed by the absolute nor do they form spontaneously out of knowing the absolute - they are a construct of societies collective conscience, one of your self-termed 'cathedrals in your own image' that extends further than the mere individual.
Your denial of the observation that humans consist of a mass of volatile chemicals combined with the clear separation of sensual experience and consciousness shows that you believe that we each have a soul, or spirit. Furthermore, it suggests that you believe in our continued existence following our Earthy death, be it reincarnation or some other form of consciousness. Through my failure to comprehend your goal, I cannot know anything of purpose - which means you think we have a purpose. Well, you may be putting forth a religious argument in sheeps clothing, but atleast you're not resorting to phrases taken verbatim from scripture or other illogical leaps of faith.
I understand what you are saying n9newunsixx5150 regarding the absolute. It reminds me of the thoughs of a philosopher (can't remember his name). He believed that God must logically exist because we humans have the ability to 'think' of the perfect being. The fact that each of us can sit there and imagine a being so powerful, so infallable and perfect in every way possible led him to believe that without the existence of such a being, we wouldn't be able to form such thoughts.
This absolute of yours may possess the potential to attain intelligence, but IMO that potential has only been realised in the human mind prior to which it did not exist. And yes, that does not make us better than this absolute because we are part of it. That would be like saying that I am better than the human race which would be a contradiction in terms because I am myself a part of the human race.
