I personally, as well as Skywalk extended my hand to a few homies including storman, most disrespectfully declined. They were on some "we're doin our own thing", which as u can see aint popped a kernel in a orvil reddenbach bag 4 em.
If i did a rating on his album i would give it a 4 at best. The funny thing is after he declined our genuine interest in helpin him, the boy was on our line on some tryin to get us 2 shoot him some of OUR artwork for his, "The East Be Trippin" album/mixtape or whatever. LoL
I aint on no dissin shit either I'm just givin a real answer to yo question folks.
They way i looked at it in the beginning was I felt I personally had a responsibility to help up the standard of the muzik that's coming out from within my jurisdiction. Across town there is this notion that east niggaz are bums and are swaggless, some artist unfortunately do perpetuate that notion. We do on the otha hand have homies that push the line not only for the east but for the whole town. My advice for storman would be, if your gonna do it, do it right.
The cover for your album was way weak sauce bro. It don't look like too much, if any money was spent on your project. Sounded like free lil homie beats wit old skoo' cakewalk recordings, and looked like terrible myspace banner/ first round on photo shop artwork

After seeing the League's cd.. damn that was on some real mainstream shit. I just think alot of homies are on budgets... and sometimes graphics gets over looked.
I think the Hank Factory got some slappers. I wasnt feelin the graphics on food 4 a hater. But I'm into just clean covers and simple ideas.
Its a good think that you are trying to up the homies from your side and that is all you kan do is give them the info and let them do it or not.
All you gotta do is set the standard though... and sooner or later, people are gonna be on that "I gotta do my shit full package".
i actually did like the cover for food for a hater. personally. i thought it was a tight idea. niggas thought shit like lil flip gettin in a fuckin leprechaun suit and redoin the lucky charms cover was corny as fuck but he went on to sell 100 thousand naan nedda copies. (who got the money is another story)
one thing ive observed, it seems alot of people in the city.... correct me if im wrong here.. seem to be thinning out the amount of 'banging' theyre doing on wax and theyre being more business minded about how they conduct the music itself. that is in no disrespect to the parties mentioned because some are active..but i think through alot of these siccness talks and just between individual parties, everyones sort of getting a sense of the direction shit is moving. And on that same hand weve all seen what an eastripping thread can....provoke? so i think the line banging wise is being pushed less. thats not to say those same parties cant go shoot someones hood up and just not put it in a rap, i think they just realize this is about making chips and not dividing parties.
i mean thats purely from a business standpoint
and then on another tip everyone dosent have access to the batkave
that would be nice but the batkave aint the boys and girls club

True.. I see where ur goin wit that Gas. Also understand that comp was never released. It was somethin created to give some homies that didn't have any light, an opportunity to shine.
