nobody is scared of the Seahawks???? the rams were lol

I got to admit, the Seahawks, this season, suck! but what can you expect??? knowing that the team is still getting use to new schemes on both sides of the ball. and also, our damn GM is resigning later on today.
LOL THE RAMS ARE SCARED OF EVERYBODY. IM NOT SAYIN YOUR TEAM IS GARBAGE. THE NINERS ARENT EVEN CLOSE TO GREAT. I JUS THINK IN THIS MATCHUP, THE NINERS SHOULD MAKE THIS GAME A COMFORTABLE WIN. IF WE CAN PUT SOME POINTS ON THE BOARD, I SEE THIS A ASS WHOPPIN. HOPEFULLY MY PREDICTION IS RIGHT. IF NOT, THEN WE DONT EVEN DESERVE TO SMELL THE PLAYOFFS POINT BLANK PERIOD

Well I am kind of scared of the 49ers in this game, only because of what Gore has done to our D last time we matched up. But I am not scared of your QB situation right now. Even with the addition of Craptree. This game can go either way. But like I said earlier, we have limited some top Rb's lately, and I have to remain optimistic that we'll hold Gore to less yards than last time. This is a different Seahawks team now.

When the Seahawks played the 49ers last time, it was only the 2nd game of the season. A game where the Seahawks were still getting use to new schemes that the Seahawks never ran. But now, it's 13 games into the season, and I'd like to think that the Seahawks have gotten use to the new schemes on both sides of the ball by now.

Remember, that the Seahawks are at 4-7, and the 9ers are at 5-6, one game apart, so this game can go either way.

To me, the Seahawks are a much more better team in this game, than the last time the 9ers have faced us. So this game can go either way.

THAT DONT MEAN SHIT. LOL YALL GOT 2 WINS OFF THE RAMS, 1 OFF THE LIONS. WE BEAT YALL. WE BEAT TEAMS THAT BEAT YALL, AND THE TEAMS THAT WHOOPED THE SEAHAWKS, THE NINERS KEPT IT CLOSE. 1 GAME WAS EVEN .2 SECONDS CLOSE. IM JUS SAYIN THAT RECORD BULLSHIT DOESNT COME IN TO PLAY WITH ALL MATCHUPS. FOR EXAMPLE, 1 TEAM COULD PLAY ALL GARBAGE SQUADS AND HAVE A GOOD RECORD, AND 1 TEAM PLAYED ALL TOP TEIR TEAMS AND HAVE A WORSE RECORD THEN THE FIRST TEAM. DOESNT MEAN THE TEAM THAT PLAYED ALL THE GARBAGE TEAMS IS BETTER THEN THE OTHER TEAM. STANDINGS WISE YES, BUT WHEN THEY FACE EACHOTHER, THAT SHIT GETS THROWN OUT THE WINDOW

The 49ers beat the Seahawks last season at home, but I don't think that shit will happen again. The Seahawks are getting their shit together now. This will be a good game. I am not ruling out the 9ers at all, but still......This'll be a good game. As the 9ers need this win more than the Hawks do. But I don't think that the Hawks are just going to lay down, and LET the 9ers win. We are a different team, and a better team than last time y'all faced us.

But like I said, good luck to both teams. As I'm sure the Seahawks have no chance at a wildcard appearance. Just dont underestimate the Seahawks.

I FEEL U BUT AT THE SAME TIME. WHY DO FOLKS ALWAYS SAY THAT? "WERE NOT THE SAME TEAM AS LAST TIME, WERE GETTIN IT TOGETHER NOW". SO U SAYIN ONLY THE SEAHAWKS ARE GETTIN BETTER WHILE THE OTHER TEAMS ARENT? YALL COULD GET BETTER, OK THE NINERS ARE TOO. IM OBVIOUSLY GOIN FOR THE NINERS AND I EXPECT THEM TO WIN EASY. IF WE LOSE, HATS OFF TO THE SEAHAWKS AND THE NINERS NEED TO GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER. I JUS DONT SEE US LOSING THIS GAME. CANT WAIT

Well if you want to get into specifics, the Seahawks have a much much better QB than the 9ers do. A good QB can go a long ways. Although the 9ers have one of the best RB's of the league, but like I said earlier, the Seahawks' D have shut down the best RB's of the league. That being Adrian Peterson, and Steven Jackson. Also, like I said earlier, the Hawks can shut down the best offense, it's just a matter if the Hawks can capitolize on the results. Last time the Hawks and 9ers faced each other, it was only the 2nd game of the season, and what I'd like to think is the Hawks were still getting use to new schemes on both sidies of the ball, and also...I think the Hawks have gotten use these new schmes by now. Like I said; this ISN'T the same Seahawks team that the 9ers faced in the beginning of the season. So it shouldn't be a pushover game for the 9ers. This should be a good game. Like I said before....DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE SEAHAWKS TEAM.

Getting used to schemes is what training camp is for. That argument doesn't hold much strength, and if you wanna argue that, remember we're under a new OC as well so that "getting used to new schemes" goes two ways. While you guys have shut down the best RB's in the league, we have as well, with the exception of Chris Johnson. But one you didn't shut down was Frank Gore who got +200 yards on you guys. Our offense is much improved from last time we played, and our front 7 on D is solid. Gonna be a good game, can't wait.. Go Niners!!

They were beaten, and battered, in their Week 2 loss to the 49ers. But in watching that game, Matt Hasselbeck sees a much better Seahawks team for this week’s rematch

Matt Hasselbeck has been struck by a recurring thought this week while watching video of the Seahawks’ 23-10 loss to the 49ers in San Francisco in Week 2 of the NFL season.

It’s not the painful memory of having his rib fractured by 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis. It’s not the two long touchdown runs by Frank Gore, capping his 207-yard rushing performance. It’s not even the ambulance ride to the hospital to have his ribs tended to.

“The thing that stands out to me, you watch us on film us on film in that first game and we are much improved from that first game,” the Seahawks quarterback said Thursday after practice. “It really shows up on film.

“Hopefully we can put a better showing out there this time around against these guys.”

That chance comes Sunday, when the Seahawks host the 49ers at Qwest Field.

In the first meeting, the Seahawks were coming off a 28-0 romp over the St. Louis Rams in their opener. The offense was playing without center Chris Spencer, and left guard Sean Locklear went down in the first half with a high ankle sprain that sidelined him for the next six games.

Then there was Hasselbeck’s injury, which occurred just before the half as he was diving for the end zone. His back was exposed and he took a helmet shot from Willis. Hasselbeck sat out the next two games, both losses.

“Offensively,” Hasselbeck said, “we’re definitely better.”

For starters, rookie Max Unger was making his second NFL start at right guard. He has played progressively better as the season has progressed.

“That’s one guy that stands out,” Hasselbeck said. “I just feel we’re better. We’ve executing better. We’ve got a better handle on what we want to be all about offensively. And I think we’ve had a good week of practice.”

The unevenness between the Seahawks’ team that played the 49ers on the third Sunday in September and the one that will play them on the first Sunday in December parallels Hasselbeck’s season.

He missed 2½ games, only to return and throw four touchdown passes in a 41-0 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He put the ball up 50-plus times in back-to-back games – something he had done only three times in his first eight seasons with the Seahawks. He has not thrown a touchdown pass in the past two games – something that hasn’t happened in back-to-back weeks since midway through the 2002 season.

“I think he’s been a really good leader for us,” coach Jim Mora said when asked to assess Hasselbeck’s season. “I think that he showed toughness in coming back from the ribs like he did, after just a couple of weeks. I think he’s hung in there tough under some trying circumstances for him. I think he’s been nothing but a positive.

“We’ve got to give him some help. When you run the ball, you help your quarterback. When you protect, you help your quarterback. I think if you asked him, he’d probably say, ‘I can do better,’ because he’s a competitor. I would say that you’re always demanding more from all your players, and he’s no different.”

Hasselbeck sees things becoming different, and getting better – starting on Sunday.

“I think we’ll be a lot better this week,” he said. “I think we feel better about what we’ve able to do. I think we’ll be a little more offensive, and hopefully more explosive and hopefully get in the end zone.”

Hasselbeck concedes that the 49ers also are better than the team the Seahawks faced in Week 2. They rank third in the league in rushing defense and have allowed six or fewer points in two of their past three games.

“It will be a challenge, but I think we feel good about our plan,” Hasselbeck said. “These guys are physical and this is a game where we’ve already said it in our meetings – we’ve got to be physical. We’re going to try to run the ball. We’re going to commit to it.

“That puts an onus on our tight ends and our offensive line and fullbacks and also our runners. I think everybody is excited about the opportunity and excited about the challenge.”

Then there’s the possibility of having another run-in with Willis.

“Probably going to slide feet first this time,” Hasselbeck said.

Defense Hopes to Continue Stingy Play
http://www.49ers.com/news-and-event...ngy-Play/5aa22b89-435a-45ac-9751-e5c9496342cc

The 49ers are in search of their first win away from Candlestick Park since Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. They will look to snap their four-game road losing streak this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

The 49ers understand that if they are to return home with a victory on Sunday, the defense will need to continue its dominant play of recent weeks. The team is a perfect 5-0 when allowing fewer than 17 points this season and has been extremely stingy of late, allowing only 10 points in the last 6 quarters of play.

Much can be attributed to an emphasis on red zone defense.

This season, the 49ers have held opponents to a field goal or no points 64 percent of the time when put in those situations, a percentage which ranks third best in the league.
Last week against the Jaguars, the 49ers yielded only three points on four trips to the red zone by Jacksonville. Part of that success was caused by forcing and recovering two fumbles. It helped a category in which the 49ers rank second in the league with five red zone takeaways.

“I think especially from last week with our offense being up, it was good to have a lead,” defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said commenting on his unit’s red zone performance. “Going into that situation, even though they got some yardage, we stopped them in the red zone. That’s one of our primary goals every year and I think we’re doing a pretty good job of that.”

Playing with the lead is not something the 49ers defense has been accustomed to consistently throughout this season, but they clearly would not mind it developing into a weekly occurrence.

“The offense was able to go out there and score points,” linebacker Takeo Spikes said reflecting on last week’s game. “You make a team one dimensional when they get behind in the game. Now, not only are they playing against us, but they’re playing against the clock. We can pin our ears back and just go.”

The ability to “go” helped the defense come away with six sacks and zero points allowed in the second half. The 49ers are third best in the league at stopping offenses late in the game, giving up an average of 7.3 points in the second half.

The 49ers offense can lean on that plus the fact that only twice all season has the defense given up points on the opening drive of either half, each time resulting in field goals, providing the offense with early opportunities to take a lead.

It’s imperative that both sides of the ball perform well for the 49ers early on Sunday in order to beat Seattle for the second time this season, after defeating the Seahawks in Week 2.

“Ten weeks later they still have the same offense,” Spikes said looking back on the September matchup. “They’re doing some of the same things. It’s not going to be hard, I don’t think, from a mental aspect. We just have to understand certain tendencies of what they like to do or what they’ve developed over the past 10 weeks and carry that in to the game.”

Perhaps one of the newer tendencies the defense may be looking at is a larger threat from former University of California running back Justin Forsett.

“He’s an explosive guy, a quick guy,” Spikes said. “He actually looks better at running back versus some of the other guys who they’ve had in the past. We expect for him to get more carries this week.”

Last week, Forsett ran for 130 yards on 22 carries, two of which went for touchdowns. Forsett’s second week performance at Candlestick Park saw him carry just five times for 35 yards. However, Seattle’s backup running back did lead his team in receptions in that same meeting, catching six passes for 57 yards.

It’s a stat that the 49ers have not forgotten.

“He’s a guy who can run the ball as well as catch,” linebacker Patrick Willis recalled. “He poses a threat in both the passing game and the running game, so we really have to keep our eye on him.”

The 49ers will also have to account for Julius Jones, who returns to the starting lineup this week after missing almost three weeks with a chest injury.

For all of the threats presented by the Seahawks running backs, perhaps their most notable talent comes from the arm of Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and his arsenal of receivers. The talented grouping has engineered an aerial attack that ranks 15th in the league.

One player who’s primary job will be stopping the pass is recently named starting cornerback Dre’ Bly, making his second start of the season.

“He performed very well,” Manusky said of Bly. “He’s a veteran player and we’re looking for him to do the same thing this week.”

Bly was brought in to compete for a starting cornerback position this offseason. Shawntae Spencer was named the starter. But with an injury to the other starter in Nate Clements and further shuffling of the defense, Bly now finds himself a regular occupant of his once familiar role.

“My comfort level has always been high,” Bly said. “I feel like I give this team a chance to make plays and do what I’ve done my whole life. I expect nothing different from what I’ve done and I expect to perform.”

The 49ers prepare for their trip to Seattle on Sunday sitting in a similarly familiar situation as with last season’s travel north to play the division rival.

“Last year, we beat them at home,” Willis said. “Then, we came here and they got the best of us. So we’re really going to have to come with our ‘A’ game this weekend.”
