Consistently have schedules where ill work 2pm-11pm then come back in at 7am.

CA state law requires u be paid overtime for any hours worked under a ten hour turnaround. Safeway would do the same shit and schedule u like 8 hours after your shift, then realize they'd have to pay the 2 hours of overtime, and then schedule u ten hours after. Fuck a ten hour turnaround. I worked fuckin New Years Eve til 11 pm last year and had to be back there at 9 am New years day. cocksuckers

lol that may apply for some, but seriously breh the reason these people are like that is because of what the stupid cocksucking management puts them through, noone is really well rested, they like to claim they promote within and all that bullshit, but they like to "coach" for every little thing, and a coaching disqualifies you from a transfer/promotion/raise.
this is kinda like the chicken / egg argument tho

which came first?

lazy, rude, non-apologetic workers who are only there because they need a paycheck, or management that puts workers through bullshit, because even they see their employees as lazy, rude & non-apologitic?

either play the corporate game, humble thyself, put your smile on & get the job done, or go elsewhere.

again, no offense, Chree @Chree to you directly, I just hate walmart & the majority of the people that work there regardless of which position they are in.

they use some federal loopholes to avoid that. i think they claim since the hq is in ARK that thats the laws they follow

We opened the store, it was a new supercenter, and before it opened, the managers were all caring and all that bullshit, everybody got along and worked their asses off, ive seen more than half the people (including store manager, 3 co managers, 13 asst managers, 10 zms and hella dept managers) leave or get fired. People stopped caring about how shit looks because the managers dont care unless a higher up is visiting, Most of the time the workers dont really care about the customers because their manager will come and give them stuff that it would take a few people to do and tell them they have to have it done by the end of their shift, and if they dont they are punished, its fucked up and when people started talking and telling others what was being said/done to them everyone really stopped caring about customers and just try to do their shit. its funny though, in our clock in room/break room, they have a tv connected to a laptop which replays some slides about how our walmart is so terrible and all that smh

Walmart did $446+ billion in sales/revenue in 2012 with a net income of $15.7+ billion while providing their workforce often with <40 hours, no benefits for part time employees, while paying them a less than liveable wage. If you are upset about people being on the govts tit, then you should be against employers such as walmart manipulating the labor force while they continue to reap record profits.
446 billion sales and only 15.7 profit? thats not too great honestly, less than 4% growth. should they not profit at all? dont get me wrong, i hate walmart, but its not the governments role to step in. people want more and more control by the government, then complain about no freedom and the government being an all powerful fascist / socialist evil entity.

fuck it, lets just release a zombie super virus and start all over

I say get out of that shithole before your tenure gets questioned during your next job interview. Take a few classes online in your spare time instead of fucking hoodrats, & excel, every time.

The formula aint hard, you know me on a personal level & know I come from shit.

If I can do it, anyone can.

Target markets itself as a hipper and ritzyer alternative to Wal Mart. i worked at both within a year or 2 back in 98/99. Target paid less, didnt offer bonus's to regular hourly emps, and didnt give you double time on holidays. but Target dont get hated on. Wally got 2 Supercenters and a Neighborhood Market where im at so they're putting more money into my city than Targets 2 stores worth of employees. i cant hate on Wal Mart one bit.

Seeing the only way they profit is from under selling on some products, and by in turn running other smaller and generally independent stores out of business and fucking over their employees, I'd have no problem with them making no profits and going under themselves.

They say at the rate they are going they will more than likely be belly up in the next 10-20 years anyways but then again they probably won't care much as the Walton's and other top shareholders will have made close to $300 billion combined. Essentially their business model is to milk every penny anyway they can before going under which is a lot like a pyramid scheme in certain ways (not exactly though of course).

But you know, 'Murka fuck yeah.

People also complain about Walmart and it's working environment and socioeconomic impact.....and then they still shop there.

Walmart wouldn't exist without it's patrons, so the blame really stars there.

It's simple supply and demand man. Walmart isn't manipulating the labor force, they are simply paying the going rate based on the supply of labor and the demand for it.

If the supply of labor went down, pay would go up.

If anyone is manipulating the labor force it starts with the government.

I've never set foot in a Walmart and I'm willing to bet 75%+ plus of their patronage are people that are in the same situation with their jobs (or lack of job) as the workers at Walmart.

Kinda a cool circle of poverty driven consumerism they have going on there right?

I have never stepped foot in a Walmart either. You would have to pay me (a lot) to buy my groceries there haha.

However as far as the people still shopping there, gotta have that new cheap TV right? It's hard to find sympathy for those self infected with consumerism.
