Picked up Prey, MOH Airborne, FEAR Files, and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter today for 25$ from gamestop. Also ordered Black Ops, FEAR 3, and Resonance of Fate for 50$ from Amazon. ...still waiting on my copy of FFXIII-2 to be delivered but I'll have enough games to keep me busy for at least a month. (Also have Dragon Age, Crysis 2 & Modern Warfare on the way)
Yea I''m in California. Net speed caps out at only 100K/B which works fine for SF3 and SF4 as long as I'm at least yellow with who I'm playing against. (me and you had red so it was lag city) We can try SF4, you'll have more of a chance to win I barely touch that game. lol. OK, I was wrong about the number of co op missions for Syndicate. There are 9, but the devs say on normal mode it will take 6-7 hours so I was right on that one. Doing them alone will probably double the time as it takes a bit to run through the demo on normal. Cranking it up to three stars (the highest difficulty) will probably increase playing time even more.
Aside from the developers saying the campaign will ensure that the game doesn't see a lot of early returns and used games, I can't find ANYTHING on the games campaign length. If it's over 15 I'll bite the bullet and cop it. If not, I'll purchase it used.
Anyone see Binary Domain? Looks like Gears, Vanquish and ME rolled into one.
Anyone see Prey 2? This game looks like a winner and if it weren't for DX:HR I'd pass on it.
MASS EFFECT 3 = THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE. Just thought I'd let you all know that.

I've heard good things about Binary Domain and the video I saw looked cool/annoying. You have this high pitched robot on your team with a nerve wreckoning voice. Your team reacts differently based on how you play, which can be a nice help or make things harder. Heard enemies are bullet sponges though.
Prey 2 is using a modified version of the Doom 3 engine. So it has the potential to be good but I fear it'll be rather dated.

How are these games? Worth checking out?
I'm not the biggest TPS fan but can enjoy it when it's done right. (Gears = done right, Lost Planet = done wrong) However I like the whole space marine fighting off aliens/demons/whatever-a-la-doom.
How long are these games? Do I need to play part 1 to understand part 2 or are they stand alone games?

both games were dope. DS movement sucked ass, visuals were great. dont play on easy bc that takes away all the fun.
DS 2 was awesome , the movement improved, visuals also improved, more guns and they added more creatures and a deeper storyline. + they added online but i never got to play that bc i borrowed it and found out that i had to buy some online pass bullshit.
i would say play 1 before 2.

If you don't play these games you deserve an asteroid on your skull.

The video looks better than expected but it does look slightly dated. (Compare it with Wolfenstein) It could just be me, I have every game that uses the Doom 3 engine (except Brink) so I've seen a lot of what it's capable of. I think I will end up picking up Prey 2 when the price drops. The whole space bounty hunter idea is pretty cool.
