Some people try too hard to be people they arent, and it fucks with them when they cant live up to the standards they are force fed everyday on t.v.Not everyone can be a baller bro. Live within your means. Too many people want to be the rich and famous, even though those are the same people who are trying to bring the poor and middle class down for their own agenga, i.e. staying rich.
Everyone can't be a baller just like everyone can't be successful if they simply put their mind to it and put in hard work. And my point is that you can turn off the tv but you can't turn off what is going on around you.
If enough people get together and vote for the same change, something good will happen. This is a democracy, but too many people are uneducated and have no idea about these things. Its part of the rich mans plan to keep us in the dark, so he can keep eating off us.
Again, this country is not a democracy and the only numbers that matter are the numbers in your account. So if the "rich man" has a plan to keep us in the dark, and every elected politician in congress, senate, governors office, president, speaker, etc are part of the one percentile, i.e. a "rich man", why would voting matter?
Simply put, do you honestly believe "the rich man" is going to allow Jerome, Juan and Billy Bob to decide the fate of the most technologically advanced and richest country in the history of the world by checking off a box next to a name? A yes or no will suffice.
Maybe its the way i talked, walked or the people i chose to surround myself with. I hung out with people who i shared a common ground with. Color didnt matter to me at all. Its puzzled me for years. Imagine being a 10 year old white kid and your own grandmother calling you that. And knowing that word was so full of hatred.
So it's pretty much what I said earlier.
Im also from Cali, Sacramento. I get looked at very strange when i walk into a bank because ive accumulated alot of tattoos over my 28 years. Some are in noticeable areas. Basically, i get treated like an ex con everywhere i go. I hear the word "No" waaay more than alot of my white peers.
Your tats are the problem. I'm talking about skin color. You are not being discriminated against and denied loans, housing, jobs, etc because of your skin tone. Do you not see the difference? If you had no tats and walked in these places with a suit and tie do you think you would be bounced out of there?
And this knowledge is somehow being withheld? Do some research.
In many cases it is being withheld or access is simply not readily available. And what does "do some research" mean exactly? If a guy is freshly out, has no skills, is reading at a third grade level, is below the poverty line and has no money, how is he going to go through the expungement process? Can he even pronounce expungement? But in your world all of this is freely available and all it takes is dedication...
I never claimed to be on the top. I dont own a home,
But im getting there through hard work. Ive been living within my means, supporting my kid, and that feels wonderful. Ive been on my own since i was 16. Sure a few people have helped me, but only after i proved i was worth helping.
Sure a few people helped you? So what about the people who aren't getting help?
Im not going to argue semantics with you, but anyone can make a good life for themselves and get educated.
We're not arguing semantics. You're making a claim that has been refuted by the most important sectors in education. From S.T.E.M to S.T.E.A.M to the areas dealing in social and mental/cognitive behavior to finance, they ALL have refuted your claim time and time again.
Maybe we cant time travel, cure aids, or live forever just yet. But we all have an opportunity to live a prosperous life. But you gotta go get it. Its never given for free unless you are a trust fund kid.
See above and I have been very specific in what I'm referring to and it has nothing to do with time travel, aids, longevity, etc.
you saying that if you wanted to learn something and became sufficient at it, you would be denied, just because of the color of your skin?
Absolutely. Why do you think Affirmative Action exists? Why were the Tuskegee Airmen so important? Why do you think we have discrimination laws? For shits and giggles?
Again spare me this drivel, the president is black. If you follow the proper channels, anything can be attained.
No drivel from my end but I can't say the same for you. As for the president let's get two things straight: 1. He isn't "black" he is biracial and a lot of people are starting to look at the mentality of white people who call him black. In many instances these same people endorse the one drop rule. Which side of the fence are you? 2. He was selected. His links to the CFR, his bowing to PINAC, etc. This isn't some case of Marquez coming from Oakland and rising to the top.
Unless you are acting violent and crazy, you arent going to get shot.
Ok, we'll end things here. No need to even go into the rest.
