Yeah, but the EA game only sold like 30,000 copies so it's not really competition..I think the sales drop in 2010 is the reason why they are going to go with longer windows in development. Also, the game was hardly an improvement over 2009.. And I'm not sure how long the THQ contract is with UFC, so they may be wanting to hold onto the brand as long as possible because EA has a better engine in place and could swoop it up when the contract expires.
