I'D PUT JOSH BARNETT,RAMPAGE,NICK DIAZ,AND CAIN VELASQUEZ BEFORE SONNEN.

ALL HAVE BEEN TITLE HOLDERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DIVISIONS AND HAVE BEEN IN SOME GREAT WARS.

SONNEN HAD ONE GOOD FIGHT...THAT HE LOST...

THAT DONT PLACE HIM AMONGST THE ELITE.

I just dont understand the logic where you earn two title shots in the UFC, challenge the most dominant champion in the UFC twice, and take part in, as billed, the biggest UFC event in the history of the company, lose and therefore are a bum, its like I said, Anderson Silva cant talk shit to save his life so people feel the need to handle it for him

Well Im a Sonnen fan so Im guessing you know my Rampage Argument, Cain is raw only 9 wins tho, I hella like Cung Lee but I would not put him above Chael.

Chael has 27 wins and excluding L's to the greatest UFC Champ of all time,

He is 12-2 over the last 6 years including "avenging" or whatever one of those loses

Now Chael's team is lookin' for an excuse talkin' about the knee bein' illegal. These fools will try to take anything they can get, but clearly that knee was legit. The fans and his coach really got butt hurt off the lose.

Chael Sonnen's coach plans to appeal fighter's loss to Anderson Silva.

"Obviously, there were minor infractions of grabbing shorts and greasing himself up," McQuarry said. "But the knee to the face ... I've looked at it from numerous angles. I can see where it hit his face. It did slide down to his chest. But that should be considered a no-contest.

"What I'm looking for is a rematch."

My MMA app of my phone cites Sonnen trainer Neil Melanson that he thinks Sonnen is gonna retire, either way Id pay to watch them fight again, fuck it if Chael Sonnen wins two more matches, Silva defeats Bisping and who ever, Sonnen promises to fight one more time or he will retire, fight sold

At first I could not understand why Anderson would so blantly bend the rules as it were but now I think it was a F U to Sonnen for the alleged steroids use

Source?

Absoultely not, who knows what the future will hold but up until now only one person has challenged the greatest UFC champion of all time to that degree, not to mention Chael's antics will cement him in the minds of UFC fans for life, hes a hard worker, does not waste his words, does what he says hes gonna do and he aint scared of shit let alone Anderson Silva, hes got my respect, for all thats worth
What did Forrest Griffin say after his fight with Tito? I want no part of Jon Jones? Id rather back a fighter of Sonnen's mindset

Chael has never had a KO in his entire career, its not his style, and infact you could make the argument that the wrestling base is the most American of all the MMA techniques/forms/base whatever that combined with his collegiate success makes him one of the best American fighters of all time behind the likes of Randy Coture etc etc

I keep it 3000
Source? it's just the way it is man. Chael talked alot of shit but it was just that. you say he backed it up but he really didnt since he didnt win shit. sure maybe he gained fans but when it's all said and done it's still a loss so it doesnt account for anything and even Chael would tell you that.

You honestly think that the 1st fight will be looked at as the man who almost defeated the champ? it never does. that fight cements silva's legacy more than chaels for the simple fact he came fromk the brink of defeat to win and keep his reign alive. that shit can be made into a movie someday like some Raging Bull shit lol.

You're right it's not his style. his style is to win on points. not saying it's a bad thing just saying what he says is bullshit when it comes to him talking all that shit about how he fights. name any american fighter that can have a guy down for that long and not destroy them. they would either be KO'd or look like play-doe by the end of the fight. chael barely uses force in his striking and throws for points not to hurt the guy. again very smart but not at all what he thinks he does.

In my opinion i dont think he will even be looked at as one of the great in this young sport. he'll be the guy that the diehard fans remember if they see a fight on espn classics but everyone else watching will have no idea, thats what i honestly think

When anderson was greasing i actually thought it was a good way to bend the rules. i mean it was the vasoline that the actual ufc puts on the guy so maybe he thought he could use it as an advantage. but then it got wiped off anyway so it was a wash.
