I'm not buying any PPVs anymore.
I know I seem like a butthurt Diaz fan right now, but I've been saying this for a long time. I don't want to watch point fighting, I want to watch fighting. And you know the sport has reached its tipping point when you can make a boring fight with the most exciting fighter alive.
1. MMA has no consistent judging. What's the point in watching a fight if you know more than the people in charge of it?
2. MMA has no consistent refereeing. What's the point in watching a fight when there's 0 consistency? My favorite ref is Dan Miragliotta, because he's so incompetent that fights have a chance to play out the way they should be. Herb Dean was voted best ref I don't know how many times and he's fucking awful.
3. You can win fights by not fighting. Facing a striker? Clinch and hang onto him as long as you can until the round's over, or take him down and hold him on the ground as long as you can. Facing a ground fighter? Clinch and hang onto him as long as you can until the round's over. Or circle away whenever he comes forward because "The Octagon" is designed to leave no advantage, because there's no cornering a fighter.
I know on The Sicc most of us are streaming anyways, but for any of you other guys that do pay for fights, I'm calling for a boycott until they fix this shit. I'm sick and tired of all the bullshit and I know the rest of us are too. If I said this exact post to Dana White's face he would call me a faggot and a liar and I'm hoping soon everyone will say "No, he's right."
