Frankie should have gotten that W but Gray should have caked him in the 1st! His corner was tight tho......"Gray get that fuckin title Gray...dont let him take that title from you Gray" LMFAO

this almost reminds me of the pacman Jmm fight... where Jmm got dropped 3x in the first... but he fought back... won the majority of the rounds... showed heart... hurt pacman.. but it was a draw... IMO... gray only won that 1st round... 10-8... the rest of the fight was 10-9... for frankie.... he took maynard down almost at will... he stuffed all maynards Takedowns... maynard was landing one shot at a time.. like once every 2 minutes... while frankie was landing kicks and punches rapidly... iono my hate for maynard ever since that fight with rob emerson has gotten to a point where seeing that guy lose makes me happy... and im not even being biased.. but i really think he lost this fight.... he didnt put the champ away wen he could have.... and the champ came back and beat him up... look at his fuckin face

it was a decent draw, I had

R1: 10-8 Maynard
R2: 10-9 Edgar
R3: 10-9 Maynard
R4: 10-9 Edgar
R5: 10-9 Edgar

I thought it would be a straight across draw.
Round 2 should had been a Maynard round tho...

I don't understand why Maynard didn't finish him in the 1st round...stupid of him..

I'm a Edgar fan...Maynard stupid as fuck for letting the judges decide the winner...

FUCK YOU
UFC boss has change of heart, Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III up next

LAS VEGAS – Cheer up, Gray. You'll get another chance.

Fewer than two hours after UFC executive Craig Borsari informed the media at UFC 125's post-event press conference that Anthony Pettis would get the next crack at the UFC's lightweight belt, UFC president Dana White had a change of heart.

White informed MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) the promotion instead will book Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III as soon as possible.

"We changed the plans," White told MMAjunkie.com. "After Craig made the announcement, I had a lot of people talking to me, and the reality is, Gray Maynard deserves that fight. We had planned on doing Anthony Pettis next, but Gray went in there and fought his ass off and deserves another chance.

"In the UFC, we do the right thing, and the right thing is to put on this rematch."

White first discussed the change of plans with Yahoo! Sports.

Maynard was absolutely dejected at the evening's post-event press conference, and his outlook worsened at Borsari's announcement.

"I worked my ass for this," Maynard said. "I guess it kind of hurts."

Edgar was nearly knocked out in the opening round of the main-event bout, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. After losing the round 10-8 on all three judges' scorecards, Edgar valiantly battled back for the remaining four frames.

The final four rounds were closely contested, and the fight was scored 48-46 Edgar, 48-46 Maynard, and 47-47, which resulted in a draw. Because of the draw, Edgar retained his title.

After being informed that he would face Pettis next, even Edgar admitted he prefered a third bout with Maynard, who handed the lightweight champion his only career loss back in 2008.

"I probably would (prefer to have a rematch with Maynard)," Edgar said. "To have a little more closure would be nice."

As for Pettis' next move, White said he's currently unsure. However, the UFC boss insisted he would figure it out as quickly as possible.

Great fight.

I had it 47-47 and a draw as well. Called it even before the scores were announced.

I don't have a problem with Pettis having to wait. He's lucky he's even getting this shot, because in my opinion, if he had to work his way up through the UFC's current crop of lightweights, there is no guarantee that he gets through this division to a title anyways.

Also, its supposed to be a unification fight...how can you unify anything if one side of the title is practically undecided. Sure, the champ keeps his title in a draw, but technically the champion hasn't been decided yet.

Can't wait for the 3rd fight.

Rogan going nuts about the 1st being 10-8 or 10-7 fucked it all up. 10-8 is when you completely dominate someone, not when you drop them a couple of times and don't capitalize or land anything else significant.

And they better fucking do Nate Diaz vs. Gomi now.
