...well you can't really get a drift of it from a couple short clips. It's plenty of Turfin clips on the net, but I've only seen that one good example of Buckin (the first clip posted). And naw, it aint "just poppin", this here is "just poppin":

Why are people saying that buckin is turf dancing. Buckin has been out since the late 80's, while turf dancing became noticed in the bay a few years ago (2000-2006). I am from the bay and i aint even know about turfin until 2003. Memphis is so underrated and The Bay is underated and i think that these two regions have the best gigz than any other region. You have to witness buckin in person by real niggaz who be hittin it. You can't go by the videos, i just wanted to show yall how memphis get down. Trust me, buckin has been out before turf dancing, believe it or not. Nobody in the Bay was turfin in the90's. I like both styles but buckin looks cleaner in person than turf dancing even though turf dancing has more energy.
