No, just saying I wasn't, LOL. Allot of people feel challenged when you question their beliefs, or ask questions so maybe you could lean that way. I have had Christians straight up cuss me out when I ask questions or use their book to show contradictions on things, hmmm, don't you love hypocrisy lol.

yeah life is just a fuckin waste if u think like that, we all live for no reason and just die and thats it...

forever... forever... forever

i feel the exact opposite.. because i know that there is no afterlife or reincarnation then that makes me feel like i should live life in the moment because this is all we have... after this its over no second chance so do it right the first time

also i am logical and religion doesnt make sense to me especially christianity

The belief that a jewish Zombie who can make you live forever in paradise if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree... yeah, I can understand why that's the world's most popular religion

I dont know much about theism but based on that definition it seems to go hand in hand with religion to some extent. The belief in God or "a" God.
Theism is just the belief in a God or Gods (creationism) without religion (in its most basic form) and the opposite of atheism. Religion is the tool used to practice one of several indoctrinated belief systems. The reason it is important for you to understand this is because many people believe in God but to not adhere to any religion. In fact, there are people that believe in God that oppose religion.

A lot of my family is very religous. So when I ask them have you ever thought that religion could be just a bunch of bullshit and not true they look at me like how could you think that way and what the fuck is wrong with you. A lot of times its just joking though.

This is a weird question.

Regardless, just because you have faith, doesn't mean you can't accept science at the same time.

I didnt ask the question to intentionally rule one or the other out. I asked to know what your beliefs are whichever they may be. Religion?...Science?....a lil bit of this and a lil bit of that?.....I just want to know.

I think everything ends but then I think there is reincarnation. After you die you become someone else and are reborn and start a new life sometime in the future. You have no clue about your past existence or anything. Theres no way to proove this shit or any evidence or anything but this is what I think happens.
Re-incarnation is tripped out. I feel if that is true then there would have to have been a past-life. Whether you remember it or not. I once heard that phobias may have something to do with past lives...who knows.

If we really do have such a thing called a soul then re-incarnation I think is feasible.

Yes, I would love to believe that also, and would be very cool. But, wouldn't a growing population kind of disprove that? Even if we gained just 1 extra person, who was reincarnated for that person to exist?
It does seem like that would rule out re-incarnation.....

So....that makes me feel that every living thing on earth is a product of the sun. And we reproduce at our own rate just like everything else that lives off the sun.

Does anyone care to elaborate on how the first human was put here on earth?

I dont know if its in the bible but does anyone know how long it takes to make 1 man and 1 woman supposedly?

I once heard that phobias may have something to do with past lives...who knows.

Many of the phobias are an evolutionary, adaptive trait. Many of today's phobias helped ensure survival of our ancestors. For example, let's examine the fear of the dark, a very common phobia. It would make sense for cavemen to fear wondering off in the night because many of the large predatory animals were nocturnal hunters. So those who were not afraid of the dark and chose to wonder off in the night were more likely to fall prey to predators, and were, therefore, less likely to pass on their genes. Those who feared the dark and chose to not wonder off in the night were more likely to survive and pass on their genes, hence the phobia. This also explains why most of us fear predatory animals (e.g., lions, tigers, alligators, sharks, snakes, spiders, etc)

Other phobias are conditioned avoidance responses to some harmful/traumatic stimuli.

I'm not meaning to challenge you, actually trying to see if you could answer some of my questions with this, because we all know, we would love to accept something. But......

Wouldn't that statement, go against, the energy can not be created nor destroyed law? I do suppose maybe the new life could come from another energy source such as dieing plants. I don't know, will any of us ever?

I dont see how there was someone put here on the 7th day like poof out of nowhere. I have never seen that happen before.

I forgot what it is called but if its true that one animal can eat one thing, take a shit, and from that shit a seed is deposited into the earth grows a fruit.......(seen this on tv, they were talkin about some sort of berry).....

then to me that would make it likely that every so billionth year or so a human is created??

What would that be called?....some sort of life process.

Not really sure, but we have traced humans back 6 million years to a species we called ardipithecus, or ARDI for short. But anything else or beyond that, I don't know, I don't think we even know as a species.

It does seem like that would rule out re-incarnation.....

So....that makes me feel that every living thing on earth is a product of the sun. And we reproduce at our own rate just like everything else that lives off the sun.

Does anyone care to elaborate on how the first human was put here on earth?

The fact that so many millions of people can live their life based on a book written thousands of years ago just because they are TOLD to trips me the fuck out. It's like right when you are born if your parents are religious you are religious. Some people may actually take a chance and decide for themselves whether or not to have faith but most just continue the cycle and never stop to come to the obvious conclusion that their is no fucking god out there. It's amazing how much time people waste worshipping something that someone else told them to worship without having any proof.

It proves how dumb and gullible the masses are. If enough people believe something, everyone else (excluding a small minority) will soon follow.

Look, if you belive in science or religion your still going out on faith that either is true.

If you have never scientificlly proven somthing to be true your self then your information is secondary and basiclly your putting faith in the scientist that they are telling you or us the truth.

On the same note Religion is all faith, they dont even try and make sense of what they belive or even try and prove its true. Its like belive this cuz this old as book says so.

Now me personally I think religion is just a tool used to control a mass of people without phyiscally controling them or trying to control people by a law or somthing like that.

Now science can only prove or give you an understanding of so much but cant really explain a lot shit that is just mind blowing. Like how when people die we lose 28 grams of weight and no one knows why, or how you got little kids out there 2 and 3 years old talkin bout past lifes and shit like that, i even took this death and dying class that showed video of people's death and you can see a mist rise above their bodies at the exact moment they pass...shit is a trip.

Now Im not sayin either can give you the right answer but for this life we live at this time I belive for certian people religion is a good thing. If it helps them cope with death and life problems then it serves a purpose and is a good thing, but when people start putting their belifes on others and think that their way is the only way and judge others off what they belive is true that when religion loses me. And thats one of the main reasons I dont fuck with it.

I think both have truths and lies in them but neither are gonna give me the answers im looking for...just my 2 cents.

I was raised christian n while I wanna say ino god is real, there's just so much shit un answered. At this point im just not sure n its weird cause I feel wrong saying that. I do know im not into organized religion like church n shit. The people are way to judgemental n its either black or white to them no in between. I thought god was supposed to do the judging not the individuals in a church. I do know jesus christ was a real person but all the rest I just don't know. I would like to thouigh cause everything about our world is such a mystery

Almost my exact thoughts n how I feel, pretty well summed up ghost dance. There's just so much unanswered shit. Its hard to know what to believe. I don't think it can hurt to believe in god and practice being a good person. Especially with some of the fucked up shit I've done in my past
