looks pretty even to me, with ECW winning a few more nights than Impact.

btw, Smackdown, as much as I hate it now, has continued to run around the 2.0 range... something Impact has never done. Hardly a "rivalry in ratings".

ROH, PWG, Chikara all have some wrestlers that use jap style or use jap wrestlers.
So they have one dude to fill out their minority checklist in a company that nobody watches and you call that "popular"??

Chikara(US company) uses tons of video game characters and stuff like that.
Is that supposed to be cool?
sry to burst this bubble sting has never EVER been in the wwE or wwF.
Sorry to burst YOUR bubble but STFU and take your gay lovefest with sadaam elsewhere. I'm glad your thread is popular in the open forum but that doesn't give you a pass to post about it everywhere.
How do companies like WWE plan wrestling out by looking into the future? IDK but they have been doing it since the 1960s
You consider "looking into the future" the same thing as "planning two years in advance"? Are you seriously arguing with me about companies planning two years in advance and in the same breath trying to tell me that Japanese wrestling is popular in America?

You stupid.

I think Hogan was a good acquisition and has made some good moves for TNA.

On the other end of the spectrum though...leave the 6 sided and ring and never EVER tell WRESTLING fans they can't cheer/boo/etc/yell in a derogatory way at a WRESTLING event. I mean come on that's stupid.

I'll still be watching because Hogan has made TNA somewhat entertaining again...I haven't watched Impact back to back in 4 years & i just started again.

Just one last time then Im done.

"So they have one dude to fill out their minority checklist in a company that nobody watches and you call that "popular"?? "

one dude? who said one guy? not popular? really? ROH just got a TV slot and WWE takes wrestlers from ROH, and PWG

No one cares about the indies? sounds like something a TNA mark who has no idea that half the company he is watching came from the indies would say. :cheeky:

Dude.. you said they dont even plan a month in. 2 years is a long time and it is long term.... how ignorant can one person be?

Japanese wrestling not big in the US?

really?

Japanese wrestling is so big that since the 60s and well before that tons of US wrestling companies were just begging to use Jap wrestles.

Here is a very small list of American companies and their history with what japs they brought in
Ill start with a company you may know.

TNA
they have a working deal with NJPW(new japan pro wrestling)
IWGP Tag Titles Team 3D and other people have held in TNA
Angle held the IWGP heavyweight titles.
TNA is using The Great Mutas trainee right now as well
also they have used tons of NJPW wrestlers a few years back as well

NWA
Giant Baba
Jumbo Tsuruta
Antoni Inoki
(probably many more I dont know NWAs history that well)

WWE/F
The Great Sasuke
Taka Michinoku
Sho Funaki
Ultimo Dragon
Genichero Tenryu

so on and so on and so on

WCW
Pretty much their whole Jr devision was NJPW roster.
Kensuke held a major title in wcw as well

If you would like me to give you a much longer more complete list... let me know. there is still a bunch of companies are wrestlers that I didnt list

Those guys aren't making money and not nearly enough people know indie wrestling well enough to call it "popular".

LoL @ your very small list of Japanese wrestlers.

WTF are you talking about dude? Telemundo has a whole fuckin' CHANNEL and those shows still aren't "popular" in America past a very specific demographic. Having a TV show doesn't make you "popular"

It doesn't fucking matter if you name me 100 unknown motherfuckers from 1000 unknown leagues each. Get over it.

you are right, because we all know its free to have a TV show and that you will be kept on the air when no one watches you. :ermm:

Unknown to someone who knows nothing about wrestling. Are you going to tell me you dont know who people like Ultimo Dragon or The Great Muta are?

WWE signed Yoshi Tatsu (Naofumi Yamamoto) a NJPW wrestler

TNA just started signing people
...
..
.
.

ok im done. You have no idea what you are talking about. I proved you wrong with every post and your responses are nothing but ignorant and show no knowledge of any wrestling history(american or other). Feel free to respond to this but I wont be reading it... if you still feel like responding then please do some research first and make sure you have some idea what you are talking about.

You're equating a long-time wrestling fan knowing who Ultimo Dragon is to something being "popular". Yeah I know the dude. At least I knew him 150 years ago.. Name me a Japanese champ, on a US TV show that's done anything.

Take a poll dude... How many people know or care about Japanese wrestling?... Little to none.
