He's not just a TV personality. He has creative control.

And speaking of WWE rejects, what about Angle, Rhyno, 3D, Foley, Lashley, Hemme, Stevie, Jarrett, Nash, Raven, Steiner, Sting... ? All those people were in WWE before TNA and they were there before Hogan as well. It's not like he's really doing that much differently, he's just doing it all at once.

I'm not here trying to say that TNA is the future. You guys know up untill a minute ago I couldn't watch more than a half hour of that show without turning it off. All I'm saying is that the TNA bashing is hilarious when before the Hogan move, everyone was complaining about how stale wrestling has been because nobody wants to go up against WWE.

Then when something is actually working, instead of looking at the current trend, everyone wants to look a year into the future as if the wrestling business even works like that, and say TNA won't last. I just don't see someone with any sense looking at positive increases in revenue and saying to themselves "This is bad news".

PEOPLE HAVE BEEN BASHING TNA BEFORE HOGAN CAME. HOGAN HAS YET TO PROVE THAT HE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT RUNNING SHIT BEHIND THE SCENES IN WRESTLING. THAT BEING SAID, YOUR RIGHT, TNA HAS ALWAYS SIGNED WWF GARBAGE, SOME OF THEM WERE DECENT, SOME OF THEM WERE TRASH, BUT BRINGING IN HOGANS LACKEYS WILL BE NOTHING BUT A CANCER TO THAT LOCKER ROOM. TNA NOW HAS 4 GUYS WHO ARE PROBABLY MAKING BIG MONEY CONTRACTS BUT CANT DO MUCH IN THE RING - NASH, HOGAN, FOLEY AND FLAIR.

I guess I should point out that when I talk about TNA's future, I'm not including Nasty Boys, Hall, X-Pac, Bubba, etc. I'm sure that most of the people Hogan brought in for that first show won't be there in 3 months.

It's gonna take a minute for them to settle in, so I guess we'll see what happens.

When's the last time you saw Dixie Carter wrestle? Vince McMahon owns WWE, the greatest wrestling league in the history of wrestling, and that guy was never an active wrestler. He's the same age as Hogan, if not older, and the dude is about to step in the ring with Bret Hart, a 60 year old stroke victim. I remind you also, that Hogan (supposedly) has no intention of wrestling.

Any bump is better than NO bump. I'd like to see you run a company.

"Oh well productivity is up, profits are up, and brand awareness is up... This just goes to show that we are not doing well".

I just think it's funny that armchair Vince McMahons are sitting around talking about what a failure something is when the numbers clearly state otherwise. You can argue about who you like or don't like on your wrestling show, but you can't argue with the facts.

If someone didn't think a brand was doing well, then they wouldn't be "fans" would they?

This happens on WWE programming on the regular. They're just not stupid enough to think they can do anything about it, so they edit it out.

^^^this has nothing to do with a small bump that wont last... just saying :ermm:

um... what numbers? what facts? please post these super high TNA numbers. like I said above, a one time bump doesnt mean anything. especially for a company that is already having one big cluster fuck of a problem with the new people they have signed.

I bet vince is pointing and laughing at TNA right now.

and WWE airs live... I cant remember the last raw were they censored the crowd

They have audience mic's jammed up in the rafters where crowds pop, but don't bother chanting because nobody can hear them. When certain chants start they can switch the mic feeds, and they do.I've been at a Raw, seen it on TV and noticed the difference. Also, they just don't give a shit because there's a huge difference between 2500 people in a small auditorium with concert acoustics, and a huge arena where if 2500 people were chanting, you wouldn't even hear them over the beer guys.

um... what numbers? what facts?

Well here's one for example. The last TNA house show at the Westbury Music Fair in NY drew roughly 1500 people out of the 2500 seats in the place. The most recent house show, sold out 2500. From:http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/tna/5934.html
- Attendance and merchandise sales have been up a lot at TNA's live events over the past few weeks. Don West has been appearing at live events, selling items at the merchandise tables, so he will likely be moved into that position for good.

One of the most successful promoters in Japan was Giant Baba. This is because he had a long term view and had things planned out a year or 2 in advanced. This is the same for America.

So the business does work like that and thats how the big companies like WWE stay on top.

But I think you are missing the point... the only reason there profits are up is because of a one time thing. Already all these problems are happening with TNA. Im not just shitting on TNA for the sake of shitting on TNA. I dont like their product, I think they are going the wrong way with it, and I personally think the numbers will drop real soon

Ive seen raw live as well, never noticed it before. but they never seem to switch the mic for fans that are up front within the first few rows

TNA is doing decent house shows, but that number always go up and down

How can you say that WWE plans 2 years in advance knowing full well that people don't even know what their storyline is 2 hours before a show?
wwe does not plan that far in advance...that was more Japan and just how well it works... but yeah WWE do start planning some BIG matches a year in advance.

and by planning I dont mean going over what they need to do for a year straight but piecing together who will wrestle who, why they are feuding the outcome for that and so on and so on

I don't really see much of that coming to fruition in the longrun, but I see your point. Then again though, the Japanese market is completely different from the US market, so I don't know how valid the point is.

you dont see it coming to fruition in the long run? first of all how do you know whats going to happen? do you work for WWE? or you just reading what random wrestling websites say?

The jap market isnt that much different than ours. Western wrestling is HUGE in japan. The only big difference is the japs see it as an important sport.

but none of that really matters because wrestling is wrestling and is still best run by looking into the future.

Its broken into a bunch of parts. This is one of my favorite tag matches of all time. Do yourself a favor and watch every part of it.

kinda long but well worth it

Then why isn't Japanese styles of wrestling popular in the United States? If they're so similar then why are they throwing fireballs around the ring? I didn't realize you had invented pwofestionar westwing from Japan. Wasn't trying to offend you.

What I'm saying is that in a business where people get hurt/fired/dead every other week, how are you going to plan 2 years into the future?

It is popular in the US... ROH, PWG, Chikara all have some wrestlers that use jap style or use jap wrestlers.also ROH call pretty much calls all clotheslines lariats like the japs do. I love how you generalize all wrestling in japan with fireball throwing because one or two COMEDY companies do it... Chikara(US company) uses tons of video game characters and stuff like that.

How do companies like WWE plan wrestling out by looking into the future? IDK but they have been doing it since the 1960s
