The good, the bad, & the ugly...

WWE:

Obviously didn't go out of their way to do ANYTHING at all special tonight, aside from the Bret Hart thing. Surprised me a little, considering I thought they'd have at least one other somewhat surprising side story. The Hart / Michaels angle was cool, Hart / McMahon was aiight and set up the rest of their feud.. after the show the entire roster EXCEPT for DX came out and paraded around the ring with Hart, playing to the crowd..

Only nod to TNA of the night was the Bourne / Sheamus angle.. "little Evan Bourne thinks he can beat me? how cute" lol, an obvious shot at TNA, then of course Bourne got laid out. Pretty funny stuff, but weak in comparison to the title match main event on TNA. Exactly how Vince wanted it... just do his usual show and have his champion crush weak competition, just to prove he aint worried about anything TNA does..

TNA:

First hour was cool until they spent 12 of the last 15 minutes on fuckin commercials... get back from 2-3 minutes of commercials, cut to Hogan's limo for 5 seconds, then go back to 2-3 more minutes of commercials... rinse & repeat... WEAK!

The Hardy angle was solid, especially liked the segment where they were leaving and the 12 year old girls mobbed Hardy, obvious shot at WWE's fanbase.. funny stuff...

NWO shit was pretty weak, altho it was epic to see the NWO in the ring on one channel, and at the same exact time Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart in the ring on another channel... who woulda thunk it would happen in 2010.

Sting in the rafters = lame and overkill of the wannabe-Nitro shit.

Flair's role was completely pointless... show up, shake some hands, enter AJ's room, show up again at the end of the show, stare at the ring for a few seconds, then leave.. trying to build mystery and suspense as to what he's up to, but it just didnt work for me... leave the old man alone... what in the FUCK does he have to offer anymore? I can't see any possible plans for him being entertaining in the least bit..

Beautiful People / Val Venis was weak and I was disappointed Angelina Love didnt show up & take out Lacey... Velvet Sky would still get it in the butt in a heartbeat tho..

Orlando Jordan??? Seriously???? I cant STAND Orlando Jordan... I mean, it's fine and dandy if you wanna be a bisexual professional wrestler, if you're ENTERTAINING and actually have some sort of ring skills... Orlando Jordan has NEVER been entertaining and I don't care what anybody says, he sucks in the ring too. Orlando Jordan instead of Mr. Kennedy tonight = WEAK!!!!

Angle vs. Styles obviously stole the show, even tho Angle missed his spot to kick-out at one point and left Hebner's hand in the air for what seemed like 5 seconds on the 2 count. Still the highest quality wrestling match of either show.

Overall Hogan played his role well throughout the show... I guess I shouldn't have expected much more.. it's obvious they wanna be Nitro 2.0, so it's whatever. I'll tune in to see what goes down, but if I just get repeats of the same 90's soap operas every weak then fuck it, I'm done with TNA.

Jericho mocking Hogan was some funny shit too.

My high point was seeing Bret and Shawn face to face, couldnt believe they did that right at the beginning after that it was all down hill imo. I missed Jericho mocking Hogan, hope someone posts it. The Vince/Bret angle was kinda weak to me, hopefully it gets better in the following weeks.

TNA was definitely lame, seemed like the senior citizens wrestling federation although i dont mind seeing NWO back together as long as they dont wrestle. Im not feeling AJ Styles so i really could care less about him beating Angle and he will never be a star in my eyes. And last but not least Jeff Hardy is a dumb shit for leaving WWE, WWE put him over and he will not have that fanbase he had in TNA.

TNA TURNED INTO A WCW NITRO REUNION SHOW... HOGAN BRINGING BACK ALL THOSE SURPRISE WRESTLERS INCLUDING THE NASTY BOYS DID NOTHING BUT TAKE AWAY FROM THE IMPACT OF THE YOUNG TALENT...

RAW KEEP IT SIMPLE AND HISTORICAL AND BEAT TNA WRESTLING THIS WEEK..

ALSO TNA TRIED TO BEAT VINCE BY OVER DOING EVERYTHING ON THE SHOW.. MIXING WRESTLING WITH THE AMERICAN GLADIATORS BY HAVING A FUTURISTIC LOOK AND HAVING GIMMICK CAGES FOR WRESTLERS TO CLIMB AND CRAWL AND DUCK ECT.. OVER DOING IT.. BASICALY MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES THEY DID WITH NITRO ALL OVER AGAIN THEY STILL HAVE NOT LEARNED FROM YEARS AGO..

I was the Monday Nitro Reunion Show. There was no point having all the OLD NWO guys in the ring to assure us it would be different. If it was really going to be different they all would not have been there. Hall and Waltman have earned nothing and don't deserve a spot selling tshirts.

I liked TNA's show better, but they can't surprise us every week with new guys we didn't expect. I enjoyed seeing Val Venis and Jeff Hardy. It was nice to see the NWO thing going down. The womens matches were 20x better than anything on WWE, the Styles/Angle match was incredible (as always).

Why did Ric Flair bother to show up? WHo the fuck was that random masked dude that they didn't bother to use either? They booked the shit out of people, didn't have time to use them and instead wasted their time on a full hour of commercials with shots of limo's in between that Hulk Hogan was never really in, in the first place.

No Kennedy. Boo.

Hey look, Sting is in the rafters. Who cares? That Crow gimmick was lame when he started it back in the day, and it certainly isn't any cooler 15 years after the movie came out.

Honestly with what was going on on TNA I kind of found the whole Bret Hart thing underwhelming. I'm not sure many people in the crowd even knew the signifigance of what was going on in the ring. At this point "you screwed bret" is just some dumb shit you chant and you don't know why, kind of like little kids saying "what" at Vince McMahon. I really wanted to see Shawn kick either Bret or HHH last night and that hasn't happened yet.

At this rate, if I had to choose a show to watch on Monday nights and couldn't switch back and forth, I'd check out TNA. There's more potential for something interesting to happen there.

Sad.
