This moderator Deep Thought has not posted on Siccness in all of 2006, and has not posted in this forum since the end of October. Surely it is time for this man either to be replaced, or to return and start being active once again.

I know some of you will say this, "The forum is going just fine. There is no need for action" stuff, and you have a point. But the job of a Moderator is not just to keep stupid people and spammers out; it is also to foster and encourage debate, by bringing up new topics, posting articles and such.

My own suggestion would be to make a short-list of all the people who post topics on a regular basis (taking into account how many replies their average thread receives), and decide among them who should take the spot.

(And to all you Hierarchy-lovers out there, that will beat around the bush to keep this man a Mod, knowing that he is doing a shit job but wanting him to retain his Upper Crust/Executive Status...first of all, you sicken me because you're probably a Liberal and like to bitch about power-whoring...second of all, create a hidden forum and make him Mod of that.)

that was the whole point of making 2-0 mod in here, dude should have been removed back then.

IMO he shouldn't have been a mod in here in the first place, but i guess that's not really relevant anymore

Debate and arguement are two different things. Tadou causes drama, like a high school girl. He's not here to educate or learn, he's here to talk shit and cause controversy. Anyone who doesn't see that shouldn't be posting in the first place.

Even EDJ would be a better moderator than Tadou.

...just because you don't see my name doesn't mean I'm not around. I don't always login with my username & password. And truthfully, this board is very much self-sustaining nowadays. Back in the day it took a lot of work to keep it afloat and it's integrity intact. Overtime however, most users have learned not to drop BS takes in this forum due to it's self-checking nature. Most any GOM vet will pull your card in a heartbeat. This virtual elevation of digital maturity has greatly assisted in forging the environment we all enjoy today. The riders ride, the respectful are respected, and the communitive intelligence line remains above and out of reach of the suckas and spoilers.

Kick back dude.

The mods are doing just fine. I understand he may not post here as often as you would like him to post, but many members have stepped up and post a shitload of topics. The bottom line is "if it ain't broke don't fix it."

And, if we went by the number of replies OR the number of views (during a one to three year period) I would most likely have the most.

No. And I didn't call you or did I imply you are an "ignorant loathin piece of shit uncapable of being a mod". What I meant was, although some of your views may be controversial for members of this message board, I still feel you would do a good and objective job of moderating in this forum compared to Harold. :)

Yeah. Is that a problem? Cause if it is, then you shouldn't express your opinion. And I didn't say you were at the bottom of the list. I just know that there are members of this message board that don't exactly like you all that much. See where I'm going with this? If not, just refer to my first answer to your question, "is that supposed to be an insult?" My answer was no. Are you doing an investigation or something?

Exactly. You were one of the ones I had in mind, which is why i made it a point to not just say "Let's have a Poll!" or something, but rather to look around at WHO is posting the interesting threads and WHO is keeping the conversations going.

See above. Being a mod is not just about looking at the board and not even logging in or even commenting. It's about having an active role in a forum, REGARDLESS OF HOW IT IS MOVING ALONG.

If NO mods are around, and some series of events happens and suddenly the 3 top posters take a break......then what? With no mods around, then what happens? ...Nothing happens, thats what. The forums come to a stand-still. These are the types of things mods need to plan for, but if you ain't around.....you can't really be planning for shit, now can you?

Naw...honestly, not really. I've been on some "FIGHT THE POWER" stuff here since the beginning, so for me to suddenly HAVE the Power would make me impotent, ironically enough.

I've already resigned myself to being a peon here. I won't beg for, ask for, or even nominate myself mod of any current boards. But if someone else nominated me, and the people backed it up.....so be it.

I would always be open to running/co-running a "Music Business Discussion" forum, but that is probably not going to happen. People are not grown up enough for that.

Most people on here would sooner cut off their foot (literally) than NOT resort to ad hominem attacks when it came time to discuss strategies, methods and so on for selling and marketing albums, magazines, DVDs and other products.
