i look at it as a favor from the Bay to SD. I dont see a problem with it. If i thought my music was ready to be heard, i would definately submit. Good luck with that

i dunno, a favor sounds like we need them....
diggs is just basicallty saying..san diego is tight i wanna fuck with you

shouldnt it be on some mutal respect shit..i guess that was initially my point of saying that it should be someone who has gone to vallejo and understands the culture that thizz has started, but understand the good and bad, true and fake, stereotypical or not...one thing that changed my opinion on what i thought 'thizz' was about, was hiking with my boy premo up to this watertower in vallejo where theres a 50-60 foot mac dre mural on it...i saw the pictures on siccness before i went there...but to be real with you at that point i sort of realized the power that he represented in that city and the shit he brought to that area in general...when you realize that someone actually sat there and risked some real jailtime to emblazen mac dre on a watertower, and thousands of kids, and adults like me..whether they live in vallejo frisco out of town or out of country..theyve come to pay their respects and throw up the t and have a few blunts and some drinks or pop a pill and take pictures of it...and when you sit next to such a known figure that big on a wall, it sucks you into a talk about hip hop culture and how some of the best to ever do it were the ones taken right before they could have blown up...

i think lil wayne said that a million dollars in cash in front of your face has a different impact than that million dollars in your bank account

you cant really get an understanding of thizz and the basis of it through a dvd...you actually have to realize that they live right next to a six flags theme park...theres so many small things ive learned that i understand the shit alot more and to me, thizz is just a hood label.....like if youre tight and on the same wavelength theyll fuck with you....mac dre seemed really big on putting on people he thought was tight...i dont see why diggs wouldnt continue that.

true, i guess you can just be a san diego nigga on thizz but the association alone is gonna get you fucked up...id think as a rapper learning something about it might save you some grief when some mad gangster who hate e pills and pastel colors tries to ruin your career and calls you a bay area dickrider

i think the drug ecstacy is even viewed differently in the bay than in san diego....like if you told someone up there you sellin pills for 15 you just gon have a whole buncha plls for 15 goin back to diego mad as fuck

I can definitely agree with that. I was kinda speakin for artists that dont have any deals at all. Obviously Mitch Slick got his own things goin on. Cricet, Ecay, Damu got their own things goin on. What about the rest of the really really underground artists that havent really got that kind of exposure yet? They can really use that as a stepping stone.

The only thing that i personally wouldnt support with this whole idea is if our SD artists change their styles up and do what they do. Not saying that their movement is no good, i just cant see mc's from So Cal doing Nor Cal music. Thats their shit. Hopefully So Cal does it the So Cal way.

its all about adapting to your corner of the market...mitchys solo shit aint the same as his shit on strong arm steady..its a completely different sound to me...now thats not speaking for mitchy cuz he could have 20 rhymes and decide to spit any one of them on his solo, or on a strong arm steady song..but i think theres always a time as an artist that you should show a little versitility, i'd actually like to see a san diego person nto afraid to make a hyphy song because he has understanding that hyphy isnt necessarily some played out punk shit kids on e pills do..i appreciate and support the bridging of the gap between the bay and san diego and im with whatever we can do to make that happen. i think this conversation if anything should give a san diego rapper on thizz something to talk about along with his own shit.

at the age im at i can appreciate mainstream and party music, i think that if rappers rap about everything else, they should be able to rap about a party or a wild night too, and not be so afraid to do that shit..i think were all hyphy in our own ways..whether youre the white kid that slapped up his mom because she told u to eat your brussel sprouts or youre the crazy driver.

you can go through a catelog of hip hop and point out songs that arent even bay area that can be hyphy. onyx? hyphy..mop...hyphy..

i think Diggs and Kelo should stop pushin Thizz and Dre's name cause it's tarnsihed from all the garbage they put out. But Diggs is nice on the Mic and i think he could put out quality long as thizz this and thizz that stays off to the side.

I GOT A BETTER IDEA.LETS JUST ALL START REPPIN THE BAY SO WHEN THE REAL BAY NIGGAS COME DOWN THEY KNOCK US FOR ALL ARE BITCHES!!!!!!
That's funny for real.

But on some real shit. How bout every reputable artist in Dago sign to Wrongkind and really monopolize in this rap shit as a whole. Not just the B card, but C's also.

If it works it works if not then fuck it. In my opinion Dago artist that are already established should just keep doing what they doing. This Thizz San Diego could be suitable for up and coming artist in Dago trying to get on. Not for no Mitch's, Cricket's or Big June's. Im pretty sure they can find something to work with.
I grew up on 102nd and Plymouth in east oakland and being in Dago is refreshing to me music wise. I can remember hustling at Fam Bam when that Treal T.V. dropped a while back and I couldnt tell who was from the bay and who was from Dago by the way some people was acting up there. So I know it's sum suitable folks down here for this movement. No disrespect to anybody out there though.
