They are? They looked quite busy in Vancouver everytime I have gone there.

:ermm:

Sweeping generalizations = boo boo

PS - I think you are mistaking Canada for Hawaii
I'm not generalizing, that's just how it is.
Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, those are all big named cities and its slow.
For big named cities you would think they would be like LA, NY, Miami, or any major city in Asia or Europe.

They aren't though.

Any country that closes their banks AND post offices both Saturday AND Sunday, and has twice the holidays the US does...is fucking lazy.

Like I said, for retirement...
Then you can slap a maple leaf sweater on me.

By YOUR standards, maybe.

Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, those are all big named cities and its slow.
My dad lives and works in Vancouver. He works 40 hours a week just like I do.

For big named cities you would think they would be like LA, NY, Miami, or any major city in Asia or Europe.
Have you been to every major city in Europe or Asia? How would you know?

Any country that closes their banks AND post offices both Saturday AND Sunday, and has twice the holidays the US does...is fucking lazy.
They are only "lazy" by American standards. In fact, the US is the most OVERWORKED country in the ENTIRE WORLD. That is a FACT. We have ZERO designated holidays. None. Zero. Nada. France, England, Japan, and even China...ALL have designated holidays in which NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO WORK. The US? You can work on Xmas. And people do.

So sure, by those OUTRAGEOUS standards...yes, Canada is lazy. What a bunch of faggots, those lazy Canucks are. How dare they have a lower stress rate and a longer life span!

:ermm:

Like I said, for retirement...
Then you can slap a maple leaf sweater on me.
Way to sound American.

> Implying working 40 hours a week is a lot.
> Implying I haven't been to any major cities outside of the US and Canada.

Yes, the US is over worked.
I lived right by Toronto for 2 years. I've been to a dozen Canadian cities. I was just there last month for a week. More than half of my family resides all over that country.

To American standards, Canada is slow paced.
I don't see how you can even argue that fact...

Well, my point is that maybe Canada isn't lazy. Maybe the US id just OVERWORKED, so your perception of what lazy is or isnt...may be skewed.

However, I presented an argument where work there is much like work here...my father works 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Sounds normal to me. Also, my step-mother (35 hours), sister (2 jobs = 25 hours + school), and sister's boyfriend (35 hours a week) ALL do the same. Therefore, this proves your theory of "lazy" to be invalid, does it not?

And saying that a post office is closed Saturday proves nothing of laziness other than they dont want their post offices open on Saturdays.

I am not directly comparing work to being lazy. Compared to a roofer or brick mason, I am lazy. I am saying even socially.

There is about one gym every 10km and its never full.
The majority of people are completely out of shape. We all know American's are fat, at least we have a group that stays fit and healthy. Canada doesn't even try.
The majority of people there are dead asleep by night time.
There is pretty much nothing to do once the sun goes down (other than club if you are downtown). The only thing open late is a Tim Horton coffee shop. The PO and Bank being close on weekends is a huge nuisance.

You swear I'm knocking it, but I'm not.
It's a better lifestyle to wind down in.
Calm, cool, relaxed, stress free, nice people, clean air, etc...

And you failed to mention this ealier in the debate...why?

There is about one gym every 10km and its never full.
Just because YOU dont see it full, doesnt mean it never is.

The majority of people are completely out of shape.
Majority? So, what....roughly 10 million? 20 million? 100 million? I had no idea you had seen "a majority" of Canadian people.

We all know American's are fat, at least we have a group that stays fit and healthy. Canada doesn't even try.
Canada cant try becuase its in inanimate object. Even though I know what yorue saying, youre STILL doing the exact same thing as you did in your first post...making sweeping generalizations.

The majority of people there are dead asleep by night time.
Again with this majority nonsense. Give me a rough estimate, please. What else are you going to tell me, that a majority of african americans are criminals? That a majority of women hate men? A majority of asians are smart?

There is pretty much nothing to do once the sun goes down (other than club if you are downtown). The only thing open late is a Tim Horton coffee shop.
This is a flat out lie, because my father doesn't live near downtown, and I have been to many bistros and bars that were PACKED....even on weeknights! Can you imagine?

The PO and Bank being close on weekends is a huge nuisance.
To you...sure...YOU AREN'T CANADIAN!

You swear I'm knocking it, but I'm not.
No, i swear youre just making shit up due to your American biased perception of Canada.

It's a better lifestyle to wind down in.
Calm, cool, relaxed, stress free, nice people, clean air, etc...
The same thing could be said for a Oneonta, NY. Last time I checked, that was in the US.

The fact that you cant see any invalidity in your statements is mind boggling.

Either way, i think we have run this into the ground. Im over it.
