I have a hard time believing Seattle bums are worse than the ones in the financial district in SF.

aka the tenderloins, that place trips me the fuck out. A fucked up area in the middle of all the businesses and shit. My boy called it hell on earth, I wouldn't go that far but it sure is far from safe there

when I went to SF the one thing I noticed was the bums down there will do more shit for a dollar. Bums would come up to me and start dancing, rapping/singing, all types of shit. One bum walked me like 12 blocks when I asked him for direction all for a dollar. Basically they try to earn that dollar if they can. Seattle bums are more demanding like "Give me a dollar" rather than "can i have a dollar please?"

Bums/homeless in America is a touchy subject in my opinion. There are good ones out that fell on hardtimes, there are bat shit crazy ones, and then there are druggies/alcoholics. Sometimes one person can be all three. I don't judge them but I don't give them cash ever anymore. I'll buy them a burger or a sandwich or something. I figure if they give it to some other bum for drugs or booze at least then someone is eating it. I rarely do that anymore though either. Seattle has so many bums everywhere that after awhile you are kind of just like "fuck off" to all of them.

I dont believe in giving them money but when i buy a couple of extra sammiches off of the value menus i will ask if they are hungry and offer up a sammich or two but never give up any cash or change. everyone falls down at some point in life and I truly believe in karma so whenever i can help out i do.

the only time i dont help out is when some one comes up to me with a sob story. i just noticed when they are talkin a whole bunch they are tryin to cover up something

on a side note i have seen a bum knocked out for scuffing up a guys jordans when the bum stumbled up to the guy at a bus stop begging for change.

One time I was parallel parking in SF and a bum told me to roll down my window so I did and he asked me "Hey man, let me get $10" I said "$10!" and he was like "nah I'm just playing, let me get a quarter". So I gave his ass a quarter for being creative.

Shit I ant got nothing wrong wit throwing em some change or something, but If they lie to me that shit pisses me off, Id rather someone say hey you got 50 cents so I can get a oe, or 211 lol instead of I need to catch the bus or im hungry... About two years ago this dude approached me & my brother asking if one of us had a dollar with a gas can because he ran out of gas so I threw him a dollar then proceeded to roll a blunt, dude fucking turns around and says sale me a joint for five lol I got my fucking dollar back & sent him on his way.. But I deal with fiends, drunks, & the general homeless on a daily, sometimes I'll throw em some change or a buck but fuck its hard enough for me to drank & get open lol

I don't give a fuck about panhandlers in general it's the aggressive ones that won't quit who piss me the fuck off.

"No, sorry."

"That your car, maybe there's some change in there"

Or there's the ones that get hella angry at you, fuck off this is my money I'll spend it the way I please. I got family members who lived in the streets and I know there are places and resources for homeless to get free food, clothing and shelter. Unless its some runaway child, they know about these places. They spending panhandling money on something else. But if I got a pocketfull of change fuck it, I'll throw it there way so long as they ask with respect.
