an interesting tid-bid from Jason Quick on oregonlive.com/blazers: "Portland is the first team in NBA history to play its first five games against opponents who won at least 54 games the previous season."

I still don't understand how he catches the ball turns around and shoots in .8 seconds...
John Hollinger (ESPN) said:
The Rockets wondered if he had some favorable timekeeping as well; though four different people (all three officials and the clock operator) can start the clock, it appeared it started late.

However, on Friday the league office -- with sophisticated tools at its disposal -- said its review concluded the shot took just under 0.8 seconds. To be exact, it took 23 frames, with three frames equaling one-tenth of a second.
there you go.

I went over and over it, and I think the clock started a little late, because the ball was about 8 feet or so (lol) out of his hands before the clock started, but there is room for human error, and it was a great shot. Let him have it, as a make up for not having Oden. LOL

I'm not arguing the point; like I said, if you rely on humans to operate the clock, be prepared for human error. If it was under .8 of a second anyways, what can you do?

At least this was based on fact; I remember, for example, that Lakers/Warriors game last year when Satan himself, disguised as Derek Fisher, cost the W's the game with a cheap foul that the refs ignored on purpose, giving the ball back to LA, with a 2 point lead, because they would have made a shot to win the game, guaranteed.

And thus the Warriors played like shit after that game...the reason they didnt make the playoffs.

But yeah gotta give it up to Roy that was a great game.

Hope the blazers come out a lot stronger than they did against Minnesota. really wish that GO was playin tonight, see how him and howard went at it, but fuck it, pryzbilla has been holding down that position, grabbing everyboard it seems like at times. Good to see LA get after the boards too, hope he keeps that up. Need a road win but its gonna be hard against the magic who have won 4 straight at home, we can end that shit tonight

Big win tonight. 1st road win, 1st win in Orlando since 2004, overcame a monster game from Howard, LMA kept up the strong rebounding, Rudy and Travis were huge, Roy was Roy and we got our first W streak of the season started. Not to mention we stole a game on this road trip that I had us losing. looks like we could come out of this road trip as strong as 4-1.

Oden Could play tommorrow, roy might not, but both are listed as questionable.... but if oden does play, nate said he will bring him off the bench...

Great win last night... Rudy is R.O.Y. so far this year

Roy should be ready to go after a full day of rest and treatment. I heard Greg is already back down to 265 which was his playing weight at Ohio and that should help him him to be more mobile and explosive like he was coming out of college. As far as Rudy, he has looked like a damn vet out there and he would definitely have to be in the conversation, but I aint ready to call him ROY. I think Rose is playing the best ball of the rookies right now, but its still very early in the season so anything can happen.
