I feel you. No matter how bad our economy is, we still have more than other countries. I'm not singling you out. I know you're probably not those racist white dudes. But I just wanted to point out that the privilage does exist. Usually outside the bay especially.

Yea, I agree. I've seen the privileged kids out there, and it makes me sick. They don't have to work for shit, everything is just handed to them. I agree that there's a lot of shit wrong with this country. I don't think we have the best or nicest people on the planet, because I know better. Citizens of other countries are extremely nice people, they care about others, and in a lot of cases they don't judge people based on class or how they look (this rings true in most western countries like England, Italy, Spain, etc). The only thing wrong with a lot of countries, is the government...which seems to be the problem in MOST countries, even here. We just have the benefit of a written constitution that says we have individual rights. In a lot of cases, those rights are violated, but we still have them...while other countries will tell you to shove your rights up your ass, and that you have none.

I'm sorry if people would educate themselves and study you would see that minorities have it worse than whites usually, especially blacks. hell I was reading the paper earlier this summer about the fucked up job market for peeps in LA, and yeah it said everybody was fucked, especially teens, but the people who had it the worse with only a 15% chance of being hired... black kids in south central LA. So everyone has it hard, but when you have it hard a nigga has it 10X as hard.

That's EXACTLY my point. Those countries never even adopted the same government style or ideals that the western world has...so how is it OUR fault that they get fucked over there? You made my point for me, they work harder and they don't get shit out of it.



That's just a small list of 50 of the most successful black executives in the United States. That list doesn't include any entertainment figures like Barry Gordy, Quincy Jones, Suge Knight, Sean Combs, Russell Simmons, Spike Lee, John Singleton. That list doesn't include the Jerry Rice's, Morgan Freeman's, Denzel Washington's. FUCK, that doesn't include the regular cats who work 9-5 jobs like a lot of people from many other races that live normal lives. So are you telling me that these "exploitive policies" have made black folks rich? The same policies that "hold down" other black folks?



The "Black experience"? Are you aware of how many and what type of people are affected by these narcotics? Open your eyes, it isn't just black folks. Have you ever sold crack? If so, were you forced to do it? Why do other folks sell crack? So they can take care of shit? They can make money? Well, those folks are fucking up their own communities in the name of the mighty dollar. At the same time, they aren't going to school, they aren't learning trades or job skills, and they are the only reason they aren't succeeding. Tell successful people from bad communities that it isn't possible. THAT'S MY POINT!!



My ancestors didn't benefit from anything, they were immigrants that the white people here didn't like. They were taken and put into their own communities (like black, chinese, Irish, Jewish, etc.).



There were white people in those areas, as well. You know where else? Trailer parks. At least the people in those cities you named off live in houses that don't have wheels. It wasn't just black folks, it was folks at a disadvantage (broke people). Like I said, my family was shit on when they came here in the 20th century. We didn't gain anything from slavery or discrimination, because we were also discriminated against. Not the whole different bathroom, different drinking fountain deal...but still disliked greatly and shoved into our own communities.



Does this still ring true? 'Cause every time I've been to the hood, we've ordered pizza and it was delivered. I lived in a shitty area myself, but the pizza guy still went there. I'm not talking about how shit WAS, I'm talking about how shit IS!



Again, it's a free country for those who want it to be. Those who dwell on shit, no matter what race they are, only make things worse for themselves. There's broke people everywhere. It doesn't take away from the rights we have that other countries don't.

SMH... and yes my G-Ma still has to order her pizza for pickup... IMO the term 'hood' is thrown around way too loosely by kids these days... those who've spent considerable time in predominately black communities (where the term 'hood' originated) will find it hard to identify with your positions...

So when did somebody in your family first get approved for a mortgage anyway?

If after WWII, then I must inform you that was at a time in American history when the Irish, Italians and other Non-Protestant Europeans officially started to have their white privileges bestowed upon them - in the form of being offered the same generous mortgages as their WASP counterparts... This explains the mass exodus of these people from the inner cities in which many black folk, unable to obtain such mortgages, filled the void...

By all means enjoy your position in society... but please reframe from patronizing black folks when doing such...
