my girl is hella wanting to make that panko shrimp dish already
If your girl hooks you up snap a phone flick or something of it.
for the shrimp
you'll need:
flour, season with salt+pepper (white or black or both) and a dash of cayenne to taste
eggs
panko
oil for frying
toothpicks
clean the shrimp, dredge them in the seasoned flower, dip them in the egg and then coat with panko. skewer 2 shrimp in a 69 position and deep fry. This is going to be the breading of your BLT so remember to remove the toothpicks after frying, they should hold together just fine.
for the aoili
you'll need:
mayo
garlic
parsley
cayenne
(everything is to taste) mince the garlic and parsley and add to a small amount of mayo. Mix then add a very light dash of cayenne and mix again.
(I find this is best if you use it slightly warm, so make it first and just cover it up until the rest of the meal is ready for assembly. make sure to refrigerate or discard after use)
the rest:
you'll need:
bacon (your choice of type)
greens (arugula works well, so does romaine, so does spinach, it's your preference)
tomato (I like black cherry the best, but any small type of tomato works)
Assembly:
bottom layer of shrimp
bacon
greens
tomato
aoili
top layer of shrimp
(really just do it in whatever format you prefer your BLT in)
