Right now, we are tied for the 3rd worst record in the majors. We will probably catch Baltimore, but Houston is 10 games worse that WE are (that have a -125 run differential. Wow.). We are looking at the 2nd pick in the draft as of right now, next year.

Mariners trade Fister, Pauley to Tigers
Mariners left-hander Erik Bedard might have bombed in his trade-deadline audition Friday, but the team still had some other attractive arms to trade with contenders.
The Mariners sent right-handers Doug Fister and David Pauley to the Detroit Tigers for outfielder Casper Wells, left-handed reliever Charlie Furbush, third baseman Francisco Martinez and a player to be named later.
According to Larry Stone of the Seattle Times, the player to be named could be “a significant piece” of the deal.
Wells, 26, is hitting .257 with four home runs in 64 games. Furbush, 25, is 1-3 with a 3.62 ERA in 17 appearances, including two starts.
Martinez, 20, is the fourth-ranked prospect in the Tigers organization, according to Baseball America. He is hitting .282 with seven homers at Double-A Erie.
Fister, 27, had emerged as a reliable back-end starter for the Mariners over the past three seasons. He is 3-12 with a 3.33 ERA, receiving very little run support this season.
Pauley, 28, has a 2.15 ERA in 39 appearances this season. He could fit in as the Tigers’ new seventh inning arm.
