i was hoping for yuni's bat to return, but this trade is very good seeing as betencourt sucks as a batter and a fielder. ronny can finish the season at SS but we'll need to find a replacement in the offseason. Cedeno can field and bunt, but that seems like all he can do...

Lastnites game was good. I'm glad we won it. But I am disappointed we lost the first of this series. I hope that we end up winning this series. As the Indians are one of the worst teams in the league. I'd hate to lose the series to a team like this.

He didnt put Felix against C.Lee because he knew we wouldnt be able to give him run support. Smart move.
They may have had something to do with it, or it could have been another issue. Cleveland doesn't have a slew of good pitchers, so it was worth it to take a loss and get 3 potential wins by putting our 3 best out there for our last 3 games. SO by taking a loss, our percentage of winning 3 of 4 goes up by putting our 5th against Lee.

DETROIT (AP)—Seattle Mariners outfielder Franklin Gutierrez(notes) left Tuesday night’s game against Detroit in the second inning after running into the scoreboard in right-center field at Comerica Park.

Gutierrez sustained left knee and elbow contusions after hitting the unpadded scoreboard, and X-rays of his elbow were negative. The Mariners are listing him as day-to-day.

Gutierrez leaped for Ryan Raburn’s(notes) long fly ball and hit the scoreboard with the left side of his body. He immediately crumpled to the ground, and stayed down for several minutes before being helped off the field.

Raburn ended up with a two-run triple that gave the Tigers an 8-1 lead.

Wladimir Balentin came in to play left for Seattle with Ryan Langerhans(notes) moving to center.

What sucks more is we are stuck in limbo...buy or sell??? I say sell, because the wildcard is going to come out of the East, so unless we win the division, we aint going to the playoffs. I say dump some pieces and payroll for some young talent...lets make this team good for years to come, and not for the next 2 years.

Easier said than done, these days teams are less and less willing to part w/ prospects at the top of their organizational rankings, so you've got to weigh whether a prospect who's rated somewhere between 6 and 10 in that particular org will in the long run be better than a draft pick somewhere between 16 and 40.
