Fuck Bush, hes good for short shortage plays but that would be it. Its not a big deal if he goes to another team. Anyways were fine on offense but not on defense. Cleaning house means they better sign some free agents, release Wimbley and thats a lot of cap space right there

"@PGutierrezCSN: T @TECHNATE069 save $6.7 million in cap space for 2012, $10 million in "real" money through 2013 with cuts of John Henderson and Cooper Carlisle"

"@PGutierrezCSN: By my, um, abacus, T @TECHNATE069 SHOULD be $9,204,766 million under the cap now. #quiensabe?"

reason #1

reason #2
probably wants to play for a contender.
so you think Chicago is gonna pay big money for a backup running back? I can't imagine they'd pay much more than the Raiders would be willing to pay him

and if you've been paying attention to the Raiders, you would know the story with Bush all year has been, he's not coming back because he wants to be a #1 running back... he's made it clear than he wants to be a starter, and NOT a back up... it's been said numerous times

besides, I'm not sure how much of a contender Chicago is. I mean, they were 8-8 last year, just like the Raiders. Sure they had key injuries, but we had just as many, probably more

Raiders line up visit with potential replacement for Carlisle

By Steve Corkran
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 at 3:32 pm in Oakland Raiders.

On the heels of releasing veteran right guard Cooper Carlisle on Wednesday, the Raiders lined up a visit with free agent Mike Brisiel.
Brisiel’s position? You guessed it, right guard. His former team? The Houston Texans, the team that employed current Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Knapp the past two seasons and current Raiders offensive line coach Frank Pollack the past five seasons.
Brisiel, who turned 29 today, has spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Texans. He started 47 games the past five seasons, including 13 last season.
It’s possible that the Raiders will bring back Carlisle at some point, just at a cheaper salary than the $3 million he was slated to earn in 2012. In the interim, the Raiders are checking out other options.
Brisiel missed the final three games of last season with a broken leg. He also missed time in 2010 with a calf injury. Carlisle missed only one snap last season and one game the past seven seasons.

there's no need to rush with free agency. reggie and coach allen want to do like the niners did last season. just sign players that fit the system and not look for superstar players that cost too much.

Sit too long and players that can "fit in our system" could be fitting into some1 elses system.

Tons of time left though, no need to appease worried fans by signing a bunch more duds. taking our time doesnt have to be a bad thing

Yes I do think the bears will pay bush a lot more money then the raiders would, just don't see how the raiders who have less then a few million of cap space and have bigger needs at other positions will compete with the bears who as of last night had more then 20 million in cap space. Also no I haven't been paying attention to the raiders, but what i gather from "I want to be a starter" is i want something near starter money. I could see the Bears wanting a reliable back to help their best player forte with carrying some of the load. We all saw what happened with forte after they ran him into the ground last season. Most successful teams have two legit backs. Also as far as contenders go, lets just say for the sake of this discussion the raiders and bears wear equal at the end of the season. Who has made upgrades to their roster? Who has most of their coaching staff intact from the last few seasons? Who has draft picks and salary to improve their team? Then tell me who you think is the more legit contender out of both squads? Just my opinion for all i know bush re signs with the raiders and this whole discussion was useless.

no, he wanted to play for a winner, we didnt pay him much
No, that's not why

In other news, the 49ers are set to sign former Raiders special team standout Rock Cartwright, as long as he passes his physical. Cartwright made it clear that he wanted to return to the Raiders for a third season. It appears as if the Raiders had little, if any, interest in continuing the marriage.
