no. they were given the starting the job and lost it due to injury and poor play. they didnt live up to their draft pick status. if they were not busts, both would be the undisputed starter at this point in both their careers. i admit, sometimes it takes qb's time to develop. but not #1 picks.
Oh so u agree JR is a bust then, since hes a number 1 pick too..

all i'm saying is you guys calling JR a bust is out of hate more than anything. the kid hasnt even been given a fairshot to label him a bust. if he doesnt pan out, you have a valid argument. but as of right now, JR was the only QB on the field last year that showed PROGRESS. nothing personal.
No hate involved, yall were calling alex a bust last year as well.... so this year JR is in the position alex was last year, so its just returning the favor.

heres a great example for you. Cassell/brady.

Cassell played good football last year but once brady is healthy it doesnt matter. he is their #1, its undisputed. Brady is a winner plain and simple, as hard as that is to admit knowing he TUCKED the first superbowl. you cant deny end results.

bottomline is if either VY of ASS performed at an acceptable level, both would be starting right now, unquestionably.
Terrible example, Brady is a super bowl winner, who has been the starter for over 5 years, and who arguably is the best qb in the league, also his salary was way more than Bradys. Why keep a 1 year wonder, when u have a proven super bowl winner?

Why not? He only played 4 years, and never played a full season, never hit 1000 yards, never had more than 5 tds in a season...... BUST

oh wait
wait wait

stats are almost identical to cedric benson............
Bo Jackson 38 games 515 carries 13.6 cpg 2,782 yards 16 tds
Cedric Benson 47 games 634 carries 13.5 cpg 2,340 yards 12 tds

i wasnt clear. every qb #1 or not takes a few years. the later round picks are given the luxury to develop their skills without all the expectations. 5-6 years.

not really. my point is if your organization had faith in A. Smith and didnt think he was a bust, he would be the starter.

the difference is that if JR doesnt pan out, i have no problem labeling him a bust( i dont see it happening though). i'm not a hater, but a realist. you are a hater, there is a difference.

in real life, you may cool. but your fascination with teams and players you are supposedly not a fan of is pretty overboard.

Raider fans are too stupid to see the comparison in stats, doesnt matter what a player does from 1 play, they are judged by seasons and careers, and i just put up numbers that are pretty close in comparison to your guys "god" and u cant take it. Fuck names, look at the stats.

it's not just Raiders fans who say Bo Jackson was a great RB

EVERYBODY agrees he was except you Chree

why are they not talking about Cedric Benson and how great he was on NFL Network Chree?

come on dog

sometimes stats don't do a player justice

why can't you admit he was a great RB?

you don't have to say he was the best ever... I'm not sayin he was ever... had he kept playing he possibly could have been

I can admit Rice was the best WR ever... and Montana possibly the best QB ever... cause I'm not a HATER

it just kills you to say anything good about any Raider Chree... I respect your football knowledge... because I know you have it

but your opinions on players and teams are so biased it's ridiculous... I've never met anyone who hates as much as you do when it comes to sports

lol thats cuz Rice is the best ever, and stats back it up, same with montana, his stats, record all back up his argument for being one of the best

Bo jackson may have been decent, but are u denying his stats are very close to bensons?

Stats mean everything when discussing a bust or a potential HOFer
lol so your saying since he didnt play enough years in the NFL to be in the Hall of Fame hes a bust? He averaged 5.4 yards a carry, i know even your hating ass cant say anything bad about that. Cedric Bensons career avg. is 3.7 nuff said

Fail

in 2005 sharing carries with Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones gained 1,335 rushing yards
in 2006 sharing carries with Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones gained 1,210 rushing yards
True my fault
But bo still had more rushing yards and tds at this point but sucks he couldnt finish his career
