ok ironlungs lets go with some stats since the 1998 season ended, so from 99-08 the raiders have won 65 games and been to the playoffs 3 times and to the super bowl once. In that same period of time the 49ers have won 64 games been to the playoffs twice and have been to ZERO super bowls. So in the past decade we still have had a better team than the 49ers. Go think about that one

damn a whole decade! i was talking to things that were relevant to now, meaning like six years ago. In that case 5 super bowls to your 3 confirms that we are a better team and franchise then the raiders. go think about that one.

Edit: lol @ one more playoff apperance, and one more game won! how does that make you better? and seriously are you really going to bring up that super bowl! that shit shouldnt even count since your team didnt even bother to show up! Go think about that one son!

CORRECTION: BARRET ROBBINS DIDN'T SHOW UP LOL, THEN YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY... BUT THE NINERS HAVE BEEN JUST AS IRRELEVENT AS THE RAIDERS FOR MANY YEARS NOW BAD ARGUMENT.

thats the point i was trying to make is that both teams are just as bad and yes it was one appearance and alot of raiders fans still feel like the raiders were cheated out of another one by the refs so that would have been two

Raiders waived WR Will Franklin.
Franklin's sub-4.4 speed may buy him another chance, but he never climbed up an awful Raiders receiver depth chart. It's a bad sign for his future.

Raiders waived DT Joe Cohen.
Cohen, 25, will try to catch on as a run-stopping backup elsewhere.

Raiders released OL Marcus Johnson.
A versatile 27-year-old with starting experience, Johnson looked like a solid add when Oakland signed him in April. He must've struggled badly in camp.

The Raiders are expected to release DT Terdell Sands before or during final roster cuts on September 5.
Sands has tumbled down the depth chart and didn't see a snap in Saturday's preseason game. He is even behind undrafted free agent Desmond Bryant.
