Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown reports that the Dodgers have acquired Hanley Ramirez and reliever Randy Choate from the Marlins in exchange for right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and a minor leaguer.
A huge get for the Dodgers. Even if Ramirez doesn't bounce all of the way back, he'll still be an upgrade in the fifth spot in the order behind Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier. It's unclear whether he'll play short or third for the Dodgers. Third base is likely going to be his long-term position for the team, but it would make some sense to have him take over at shortstop for the rest of this year.
