My religious beliefs are very personal. I was athiest from about the age of 12 till 20. I just meant I won't get in to why I am, or what made me Christian, or anything else. The worst people in the world IMO are overly religious people. Sorry I can't get in to it more than that.

It's funny when I meet Christians who say "I believe in Jesus but I hate organized religion". To me, these types of people are just following a "Do it yourself" version of Christianity as someone I know liked to put it.

These are basically people who like to create their own version of Christianity and basically follow whatever beliefs suit them best (whether it was really taught by Jesus or not) and reject whatever opinions they find too difficult or too burdening. Basically creating their own version of Christianity which they believe to be correct or the most logical. This is what I like to call "Do it yourself" Christianity that people like to create individually.

Anyway as for this thread, yes I'm a Christian. Baptist to be exact.

I am a Christian ( raised Southern Baptist) , however I don't go to Church anymore. I believe God is everywhere, not just particular buildings or places. For the comment about people making up their own kind of Christianity, maybe thats kind've true. But all of the many different kinds of Churches have been doing this for 2,000 years. So I think all of the Christians who hold the basic beliefs and uphold the Christian way of life are still in the right. Since I have gotten older I have changed some of my beliefs about a few parts Christianity. I won't get into that though.

@ Your First Comment, do you know for sure, I don't speak to pastors for insight? Do you know exactly what I preach to my friends or people in general? Do you see me starting a cult?

@your Second Statement. I'll tell you what I believe then you be the Judge of That. I'm a Trinitarian, as well as many Christians are. I believe in the Trinity but I'm from no denomination. I am a Protestant, meaning obvoiusly I am against the Catholic Church and their Paganistic ways. I believe in Yeshua, the son Of the Almight Father, I believe he is the Messiah, our Redeemer, and God. I believe in the Holy Spirit, who inspires men of God to testify, to witness, and to prophesy for the Lord. I believe in the Father, the creator of all things. I believe that in unison they are God, echad, meaning Oneness through the Unity, the unity of the Trinity. I believe in only worshiping Yeshua, you worship all three. I believe John 14:6, that Jesus is the Light, the Truth and the Way.

I also believe that even though the 10 Commandments applied to the Hebrews they also apply to the Followers of Jesus. I believe as Christians, even though you aren't a Jew, why keep the 9/10 Commandments Holy, and not the Sabbath?

Well I'm going to end up typing 100 pages of what I believe Just ask me, and I'll tell you. Here's a few things I don't believe that is popular in the Christian World

The Pre-trib Rapture, I believe in a Post or Semi Mid Rapture
That Jews will all go to heaven without Jesus, a dangerous Preconceived Notion
That God is not a Trinity but One

Because in the Book of Acts, the word was Pagan, and it applied to the Followers of Jesus. Then over time it was popularized by the teachings. But if you look in 1st Peter 4:16 and Acts 11:26, they call themselves of Christians.

i believe im a sinner and the only way im getting into heaven is by believing jesus christ was the son of god, came in the flesh, died on the cross, rose from the dead 3 days later, and then ascended into heaven. This is most important. I try my best to walk according to the spirit.

OK I have a question. My whole life I have been taught that if you do not believe that Jesus Christ is the saviour than you are going to hell. So what about all the Native Americans that never heard of him, or people in other such countries or situtions? All these folks are going to hell because they never heard of Him? I can't believe that. I tend to think we are all worshiping the same God, whatever we call Him. Just in our own way. I mean if I had been born in Iran I would be a Muslim. It really come down to where you are from and the culture that's there.
