Once again Tech, it's the beat. Nobody is denying your lyrical ability or flow on this album, because to be honest you're on point on this album. So on point that the production values and lack of diversity and uniqueness pale in comparison. It's like hearing a dope flow over a weak beat and hearing you cleverly talk about fucking someone, and then having to hear someone else jump on the same weak beat and not killing it like you do. It's good for the first few times, but it gets old very quick.
I know the album is supposed to be party oriented, but a lot of people simply aren't liking the sound of the album, and it's not just here on the Siccness. I think that's why songs like Harvey Dent and Far Out get more play than others, simply because they're the tracks that sound unique in one way or another.
Oh well, you're probably not gonna read this post anyway, but this is the last time I'll speak on the subject. I just hope that you realize that all the album backlash isn't as simple as dark and light, and that it's more complex than that. The album sounds rushed, most aren't digging it too well, and we're all hoping that the music doesn't stay static. You talk about evolution, but the only thing evolved on this album is your flow and your metaphors. The subject matter has NOT evolved, and we're still very much stuck at the MLK phase of things. Your solos have evolved for the most part, but your collabos haven't.
Don't take the negative reviews on GMP as hate, just look at it as another part of your evolution. A lot of us have been here since day one, and to be honest, Questions sounds a hundred years ahead of it's time compared to Far Out. Good luck on 6's and 7's. Still looking forward to it and hopefully you'll put a lot of time and effort into making this album sound unique, since that's what the Tech N9ne I grew up listening to was known for.
TITANGRAPH FTW.
