"Tech made a trip to New York earlier this week to promote his upcoming tours and albums. He sat down with "The Deal" on BET (on air June 30th at 1:00 AM central time) and a special Indie Week edition of Sucka Free on MTV. We got some cool pics of his adventures around the city. Click the link below to check them out now!"

Isn't the goal to make "Strange, dark, psychopathic" music meanstream instead of underground?? Hell in the mid 90's when Bone was huge, along with ICP's Great Milenko, amongst others.. it was mainstream to be dark and strange. If anything the goal is to go mainstream with the "underground" style so as to spread it to the masses.. or so i thought

Umm I think he anwsered it right there lol...It shouldnt matter if the music is "dark" or whatever...if the music is GOOD it cant be denied...if it happens to have dark overtones or is a party anthem then it will be recognized....plus add a live ass show on top of that and you get Strange Music :lick::lick:

Only problem is he conforms to them the more popular he gets. Like doing songs for the "black crowd" or excuse me the "street crowd" that could give 2 fucks about him. I have no problem with mainstream music. How he is trying to get there is bullshit.

Honestly, I just think your upset because theres not much "dark" music being released the last 3 albums. I know your a juggalo so I assume your into the dark music. I could be wrong here but it seems the only people bitchin about the way tech is evolving is 1. Juggalos or 2. Fans of dark & horrorcore music.

I have a question, and not to start an argument between anyone and myself, but WHY should the music be the same as when you first started listening to Tech? We all know what he has in his bag of tricks. He is arguably the most versatile MC there is, why shouldnt we expect EVEN MORE different styles of music from him? He is accomplishing everything that you should want to accomplish as an artist whose goal is to get his music to the world. We could very easily be sitting here reading a thread about "how ALL of Tech's music sounds the same" or "he will never get the attention he deserves doing this kind of music".

It is all relative my friends, but I am very glad that my dude is getting the exposure he deserves, and maybe it is because the new music is more appealing to the mainsteam, but it will open up his ENTIRE library of work to a new fanbase.
We're not here to argue right? Just tell our opinions. I guess I worded it wrong but the you're right, the music shouldn't be the same as when it started. It's just in my opinion, the music isn't progressing. Sure this is just another one of his styles. This new style however isn't as good as other styles I've seen him do. If I were in his position, I'd do the same but at the same time I'd like to hear some new shit that will impress me a little more.

Wow this hurts my heart to hear tech fans bitch like this.... Most on here are true hardcore fans because they understand what hes doing and what him and travis are trying to accomplish, but for realz lets shut the fuck up and give credit where credit is due, and the fact that tech is creating the music he wants to create with no pressure from a label to conform and now finally after 20+ years the industry is coming to him because us as fans are telling the industry this is what we want, versatile music not no simple lyrics with a catchy beat! Be happy for the dude and praise him because if its his music you like! Weither now with sickology 101 or back to celcius HE IS MAKING IT!!!!!! THATS ALL ANYONE WHO IS A TRUE TECH FAN WANTS! FOR PEOPLE TO HEAR IS MUSIC IN AFRICA TO CHINA, AND FOR STUPID MOTHA FUCKAS WHO DONT GET IT TO SHUT THA FUCK UP AND MOVE ALONG TO THE NEXT BITCHES SONG! CUZ ARTISTS OF HIS TALENT COME ONCE IN A LIFETIME, SO RESPECT, AND ACCEPT HE WILL MAKE IT MAINSTREAM!

And in reference to the FTI thing.... The FTI publicity stunt ended the day they took those tracks down from the site. Techs FTI thing was the same type of stunt that underground rappers pull to get attention in the mainstream in the first place. 50 did it too. I find it amusing that some of you are still on the whole "FTI" thing, and even though Tech puts out song after song about "waaaah waaaaaah the industry don't like me" he'll jump on their channels at the drop of a hat.

You make a career out of "Fucking the industry" and then embrace it when it helps you out... It's hypocritical. I'm not saying that a guy shouldn't get more popular, sell more albums, and make more money, but if the basis of your career is "I'm the hottest rapper nobody pays attention to", then I'm not sure what you're going to rap about when you become famous. And frankly, going mainstream just puts you as the little fish in the big pond. Any way you slice it, Tech isn't ever going to do Weezy numbers. I can tell because I like Tech's music, and anything I like, most people can't figure out.

I wanna see Tech on 106 & Park and bring back Rap City get him on that too haha, i agree though even with a 'break' into mainstream he'll never be able to gain Lil' Wayne numbers or pure mass of fans...but it may boost some album sales and merch profits.
