New York, NY – Cash Money/Universal Motown recording artist Glasses Malone joins Tech N9ne and Slaughterhouse on this fall’s King of Darkness tour, thrilling fans with his hard-hitting West Coast flow in over 40 cities, including New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The outing kicks off on October 1st in Omaha, Nebraska. “Tech N9ne is one of the best entertainers to ever step on a stage,” says Glasses Malone. “It’s an honor and a blessing to even be mentioned in the same breath as him.”

Glasses Malone earned an underground reputation as a street-wise soothsayer and savvy business entrepreneur back in 2003 with The Crack Mixtape. But he is best known for his 2005 breakthrough offering, White Lightning, a white-hot indie release that not only showcased the charismatic rapper’s gritty lyrical flow, but also turned the heads of hood-wise fans and hip-hop moguls alike by selling more than 30,000 copies.

Following a visit to Los Angeles radio station in 2006, Glasses Malone found a fan and champion in West Coast rap icon Mack 10, who put in a call to his good friend and Cash Money Records Co-CEO Bryan “Baby”
Williams, which led to the Watts, California native signing with Cash Money in 2007. “Being signed to Cash Money Records is like playing for the U.S. Olympic team,” says Glasses Malone. “I’m among the elite talent in this era. I feel like Dwight Howard!”

Due out on November 24th, Glasses Malone’s Cash Money debut album, Beach Cruiser, is named for the stylish, hugely popular bikes often seen cruising around Southern California. “No matter how many bicycles come out, beach cruisers will always be there and that’s what I want my music to represent,” he explains. “I want my music to have the staying power of a beach cruiser, which also represents the West Coast—it’s gangster, it’s smooth, it’s steady, and it’s classic.”

Tonally, the album's fucking banana's, from the songs I heard. He does three or four of them during the set(PM if you want to know the exact setlist), and then I heard five songs on the bus.

It's fucking wicked, though. Tech told me about a shitload of controversy around King Gordy's verse in their song. I won't give away what Gordy says, but it's pretty insane. And I hate to possibly soil one tight ass song for some of you haters, but Prozak's on that song, too.

Umm...To answer the K.O.D. promo speculation, the sampler is being finalized on Friday, so I'd expect tracking orders in mailboxes near the end of the weekend, or early into next week.
