go to the court see a judge and try to get ur charges dropped or reduced, the worse thing that can happen is u have to pay in full what u owe that day and waster 2 hrs at the court house.

a month ago in SD, I had a failure to appear, tickets, and 600+ to the collections agency. Judge dropped the ticket and failure to appear and reduced the fine to 75 bucks..

hm....do you think i should go to court before i pay the dmv half of the fine? i honestly just wanna pay it so that would be some sort of indication im working on it but i dont know.

know what i mean? like if i wait and it gets reduced id probably pay less to complete this than paying half and getting that balance reduced, but probably makes me look worse.

Man youre just better off going in front of the judge and telling him whats up. When you have a full time job (like you do), pay taxes and are responsible for the most part, the judge will usually work with you. I had some tickets recently that I completely forgot about and got my license suspended. I just went up in front of him and told him what was going on financially with me at that time and he ended up just reducing my fines. I Ended up only paying $150 to reinstate it and that was it.

I'm not sure what kind of fines you are working with but most of the time you can get your shit reduced.

Now... As for the driving around while suspended.. All I have to say is stay away from stop lights as much as possible... I drove without a license for about 7 years and there were just certain things I had to force myself to do like driving the speed limit... Thats the main one. And stop lights... I can't stress that enough, its best to always keep in motion and always be ready to hit right turns even if it means going out of your way.. Staying in motion, keeping your eyes glued to the rear view and driving the speed limit will usually keep you under the radar...

good looking for the advice.... went to court today and judge took 200 dollars off my fines, removed the suspension and gave me monthly payments. i gotta pay em like 179.99 after giving them money today so im straight. i appreciate it!

he saw that i was working and that i put a payment in before they made a movement to suspend my shit so i got lucky...dude made a comment beforehand about not reducing fees if you know you were guilty of non payment...my payment was late a few days so he gave me leinency.

i dont really drive drunk anymore because i dont drink alcohol like i used to

its something i had to grow out of, yknow

eventually i realized i was being stubborn and stupid and chilled the fuck out with all that

i believe i got lucky and i believe in taking that as a lesson and learning from it..it didnt take a dui for me to get it...and im thankful for that

when it comes to the gov't being in your life, you should always be on top of it.

get the temp L's and pay it off. don't be a dumb shit and risk being fucked over again by driving with no L's and not getting a temp one. i mean, if you think you can afford that risk go for it. but if you are concerned about $750 I'm sure you'd be concerned about the price you'd pay for drivin with no L's along with these other fines you gotta pay.

Pay part of it before you go, it'll say a lot that you're trying. Otherwise you better just hope your judge is in a good mood or that you got some luck on your side to get it reduced/dropped/whatever.

But the more effort you put forth the better it'll look....cause it won't seem like you're a dead beat.

If you had showed up to the courts they may have given you a payment plan.....showing up when they tell you to is a good idea.

You can ask to get driving priveldges to work(meaning yoru allowed to drive between the hours you work long as your employer sign the paper) My shit got suspened for 6 months before bc i had too many points.

im good its over with. the judge already ended all that.
he lifted my suspension.
got rid of the bullshit on me...so i can pay the fine now easily

dude was being cool tho he was hella smilin and winkin at people like he wanted to help out...he didnt even have to show love like that i think them judges get so tired of seeing peopel get fucked over they try to help out. atleast some of them.

i dont feel like i got over tho i feel like i need to take that as a lesson and grow up..no more drunk ass driving...gotta keep it straight
