yeah i know werdum is suppose to fight overeem next but he said he wanted a rematch with fedor, but im hopin before his contract is up they set up the fight he has 3 more fights i think
Fedor has 1 fight left, it was a 3 fight contract. That's why they set it up for him to beat Rogers, have UBEREEM showcase, have Fedor win again and then they could have a Fedor vs. Alistair PPV.
Now I guess he could rematch Werdum and have UBEREEM fight Bigfoot, if Fedor wins give him one more fight for the title.

lol first Babalu beats Lawler and declines a title shot against Mo, and now his training partner Werdum beats Fedor and declines a title shot against REEM. Strikeforce can't catch a break.

btw, in all likelihood the "opponent to be named" for King Mo on August 21st is going to be Feijao Cavalcante.
There's also a rumor one of my picks from the "Dream Fights" thread is going to happen that night. Arlovski vs. Sergei Kharitonov.

damn!!!! cant believe Fedor got caught like that. gotta give Werdum all the credit in the world and how Brazil believe in jiujitsu as much as soccer. but STILL, Fedor is GOAT and if this is a best out of 3, Fedor WILLL crush him. its weird to see how Strikeforce will react to this cuz NO FEDOR=RIP Strikeforce.

Just got home and saw the fight, when the video only showed it was 6 minutes long I was like oh this is gonna be good, then when Fedor dropped him I was like ok ground and pound and then I was like WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fedor got to aggressive and put himself in a bad position and set him self up to get submitted. He is still one of the greatest of all times.

I have to watch the match again but it didn't look like werdum was really hurt when he wenT down, more like playing oppossum to get fedor down to his world and it worked......with that said it seemed lik fedor wasn't even aware that werdum is good off his back almost like he was poorly studied for that fight, I say that cuz he's usually a smarter fighter than he was last night.
