Using this logic, you could say that retarded people own the word "retard," and "retarded." Also, stupid people, ugly people, and attractive people, et cetera. You open a big can of worms being all politically correct so people don't get offended. It's good if they're offended, it means they have some heart.
Banning of words gives the government quite a bit of control. Give an inch, they will take a mile, I guarantee it. Nobody owns anything in this world, they just think they do because someone else said so, which isn't logical at all.
I think oppressive language is a bad thing but I also think that people need to understand why people think that in the first place, cause it would probably change opinions. People in general do not question themselves which is why they are limited to doing a small amount as they won't understand shit. I doubt you are one of these people, I'm just saying it for the sake of the discussion.
