Jesse Williams cleared to work out after cancer surgery

In May, Seahawks defensive tackle Jesse Williams announced that he has been diagnosed with Papillary Type 2 cancer and that he would have kidney surgery as part of the effort to combat it.

Williams had the surgery a couple of weeks ago and posted some positive news about his recovery on social media on Thursday. Williams posted on Twitter that he’d been cleared for light workouts and then followed up with more on Instagram alongside a picture of him posing with Richard Sherman.

“2 weeks post Papillary Type 2 Renal Carcinoma Stage Three Surgery! Cleared for light workouts! If you know me you will know how much that means to me to be back out there moving around and hanging back with the team! Not an easy journey so far but I don’t think it would mean as much or be worth it if I didn’t have to fight for what I wanted! And I want this!! Appreciate the Seahawks for standing by me through all this & can’t wait to be back on the field representing such a great organization!”

It’s good news for Williams and we hope that there’s much more of it to follow.

He's Tim Tebow, but dark skin. It's weird how America doesn't go crazy about him like they did for Tebow being that they are nearly identical in beliefs and lifestyle. Wilson is like Jesus Christ in the flesh.

I really can't tell if Wilson is a giant fraud or if he legit lives his life they way he says he does. All signs seem to indicate he's legit, which I agree is kinda scary.

I'm also getting annoyed with this nonsense about making him the highest paid QB in the NFL. Yeah he's been awesome but he isn't Aaron Rodgers or Brady or a few other guys. Top 10 or so realistically considering what he does on his feet and his lack of turnovers but no way should he get paid more than the top 3. Hopefully his faggot agent and Wilson come down to earth here a little.

He has to be extremely careful now because as soon as he slips up he will be crucified in the media and in the court of public opinion. I think its great he is practicing abstinence and he is a great role model for children if this is truly his persona.
