Cam Newton = career low 125 yards
Kap = career worst 127 yards, 3 INTs and a fumble

Great start for the defense!
I may be off on this, but i feel like Walter is better than Browner.

Either way, this secondary is ridiculous and the front 4 are doing a MUCH better job this year getting pressure. Having Bennett and Avril in there last night was a HUGE step forward. Just wait until Clemons, Irvin, and Williams get back to health. Yikes.

Skip Bayless apologizes for doubting Seahawks, Richard Sherman

Richard Sherman wanted most everyone in the national media to know they were “ignorant idiots” for picking the 49ers to win Sunday night’s game, which ended up a 29-3 Seattle blowout. And when the star cornerback looked directly into the camera during his postgame press conference, we all knew he was talking to Skip Bayless — the ESPN commentator with whom Sherman has a little trash-talking history.

On Monday, after the Seahawks shocked the football world, Bayless and his “First Take” co-host, Stephen A. Smith, apologized for doubting Seattle and its lights-out defense.

“To quote Richard Sherman: I was also an ‘ignorant idiot’ who picked against the (Seahawks). And I learned a big, hard, long lesson last night,” Bayless said on ESPN’s “First Take.” “Richard Sherman played a hellacious football game last night; let me get that out of the way up front. Maybe you and I deserve some honorary game ball or something for helping to inspire and infuriate the Seahawks, but Stephen A., on the Richter-shock scale, I’m at a 10. I didn’t see this coming.”

“I didn’t see that the 49ers would again get intimidated and discombobulated to that degree, the way they did last year in Seattle,” Bayless continued. “I’ve never seen anything quite like the way they turned such a great young player (S.F. QB Colin Kaepernick) into such a basket case for just one night in Seattle. Hard for me to fathom, Stephen A.”

“There’s no way I’m going to pick against Seattle at home the rest of the year. I don’t see anyone beating them at home and I thought before the year somebody would.”

Smith agreed, literally saying he was “sorry” for doubting the Hawks.

“I don’t think ‘shock’ begins to describe it,” Smith said of his reaction to Sunday’s game. “And I heard that Richard Sherman was calling folks idiots and stuff like that for picking against them. Let me be the first one to stand up and say: You were right, I’m the idiot. I completely underestimated the Seattle Seahawks. …

“This defense for Seattle is just big-time. They’re the best in the game; they’re on another level. And I gotta give props where props is due,” he continued. “I gotta eat some crow today. There’s no way around it. The Seattle Seahawks — I mean, let me tell you: Richard Sherman, (Brandon) Mebane and all these boys, they can talk all the junk about me they want to. I’m sorry. I was wrong. I completely underestimated these boys. This defense is on another level. It’s just that simple. It just is. They got me. They got me today.”

This is a real tough road game coming up, actually two.

The huge problem against the Texans is Okung will be out 8 weeks and now Giacomini is out. So TWO rookie tackles will start. Not a good game to start two rookies against guys like JJ Watt, Brian Cushing, etc.

If Seattle doesn't get the running game going this could likely be a loss. I'LL be happy if they go 1-1 versus Texans and Colts before a home game against the Titans.

Man, looks like Max Unger will likely be out as well. That's three of the five starters on the line out. Definitely expecting an L against the Texans unless Beast Mode has a monster game. Texans are well aware of these injuries so obviously they'll be playing against the run all game and attacking on any pass play. Not good.

dont count the defense out though, i know they play a little different when not at home but i think they can make this pretty winnable. i just hope wilson doesnt get demolished cause the texans pressure a ton anyway, and now with those rookies out there it might be pretty dangerous out there. id expect him to get a big taste of what tavaris had to contend with all the time a couple years ago lol, id expect wilson to be running for his life most of the game... hope he uses that to his advantage and runs all over houston and comes out in one piece. he hasnt really used those legs this year, but now he'll be forced to
