Seahawks still have the #1 D (at least one that is near the top), that alone is scary enough.

And saying Golden Tate is too small and can't get open is ridiculous, let's see what Steve Smith does this Sunday when he does neither of those as well..Only difference is you fuckers better have him in double coverage.

golden tate is no steve smith not even close to smiths speed. tates best hope is catching a 6 yd pass and maybe he can twist and spin and get some more, maybe an occasional td. hes not catching and running in a 50+ yd td ever, unless hes stopped partying every day and hes taking this serious now and has worked especially hard this offseason, which i doubt. and how old is smith anyway? hes gotta be winding down his career now. unless he has a huge year and we see this "explosiveness" that everyone is talking about this might be tates last year here. he'll want to get paid and hes not worth the big big bucks

Smith is 34 I think, he's just proof that anyone can be short and have people on top of him and still catch balls though...Tate can play aggressive, but as you said he needs to take shit seriously...if not at least the Seahawks have other threats so they'll be fine this year..

yea the height thing was a dumb thing to say.... its much more his route running he needed to improve, his whatever you call it, ability to break away from defenders. hes a great player and i know im probably wrong and hope im wrong about all of this, but i cant stop the doubting especially with all the new bandwagon fans this year and the superbowl or bust expectations

last year at the end we needed that#1 guy to be there when things were tough and on the line against the falcons, but it wasnt there. TE zach miller was the only one who brought that elite play but we knew he was solid all year and he shouldn't have had to be the guy, he should just be the cherry on top, a bonus. this year who is that #1 guy going to be? i just dont see tate as that #1 guy

Man, Seahawks were winning with only seconds left. The lack of a pass rush was the problem. Wilson and the offense went bananas in the second half and did everything they needed to do. Defense just couldn't hold.

Offense isn't a concern, just a banged up d-line to start the season that's really the one weakness right bow.

Golden Tate has been a huge play maker man! Plus Kearse and Williams look great. WRs are fine. Only worry right now is D-line. Also week 1 sometimes it takes time for teams to get into an offensive rhythm.

Lynch is in great shape and two beasts back him up.
huge playmaker, sure, in blowouts and preseason, but when it truly counts and if hes being doubled i just dont have the confidence. ive always thought hed be way more explosive as a secondary guy, if there was a true#1 to draw double teams constantly tate would be lethal when flying under the radar. i hope with rice and harvin healthy tate will be that guy

i really hope marshawn is healthy right now for another big year, the team is pretty much built around him lol. hes got the heart and hes a beast for sure and likely the #2 rb in the league behind adrian petersen but hes sat out of every pratice for like a year because of back spasms ... i hope thats just the coaches preserving his health and isnt some long term underlying serious issue that could impact his year. rb's rarely stay healthy long and no one does with lynch's running style

true, i completely disregarded that lack of pass rush. that was the #1 thing to be addressed, more so than TE depth.

howd we do in that regard? i havent had the chance to see the defensive adjustments so far, i just assume its still top 5 in the nfl at minimum lol

So against the Patriots that was a blowout? The Failmary, he made that happen bad call or not! And he had numerous big catches in tight games last year. Dude makes plays.
true true. i dont know what im thinking, i think my expectations are unrealistic. id definitely like to see him break 1000 yds though if he wants a huge contract here though. i mean shit.... we cut fb robinson... robinson?! people got to really separate themselves this year into the elite category cause anybody can get axed no matter how consistent and hardworking or how good of a person they are. and tates contract is up at the end of the year i think

It is a contract year for him, so with Harvin added, and guys like Kearse and Williams looking really good, I expect Tate to be playing his ass off this season. He was already a bit irritated they signed Harvin and wanted to prove something, add it being a contract year he's going to be as competitive as possible. But those young guys looked great in the pre season, it's a pretty talented set of WRs even w/o Harvin.

interesting stat of this game day i didnt see mentioned in the seattle times, cam newton is 3-16 in games where he has a turnover. even more interesting, he was 1-14 in games where he had a turnover until they won games 16 and 17 last year, lol.

so uh yea. chances are he has at least one turnover, i mean the chances of us getting a pick is about 80% in my mind. seahawks just need to contain newton mainly, dont let him run and dont give him all day to throw either, and i think he'll pretty much try force something and give it up. only possible way i can see us taking a L is if we dont get a single turnover and the offense blows it. even if they stutter thru the whole game our defense can win this with takeaways.

Lol like i said opening day gonna take some time for offense to get in rhythm. Thank god bears game is on to feel like i have ADD though flipping back every play.

Defense is doing good so far all they need is a little momentum to get the offense rolling. Should run more I think.
