I know I'm usually huge on the "prove it" "cite a source" bandwagon, but unfortunately this time I've got nothing. I wish I did, but individual voting information is obviously confidential. I've also never seen anybody do a poll or something.
That opinion is a vibe I've gotten throughout my life both in playing sports and watching. And you can get to the matter somewhat easily as well b/c information regarding voting patterns of whites vs blacks, males vs females etc for the general population has been done before, and the white male is the most conservative of that demographic.
But with Hasselbeck, it is interesting b/c he originally comes from one of the most liberal states in the USA, so his white-male stereotype overcame his Massachusetts stereotype in this instance.
