The Seahawks have been one of the most consistent teams in the not-consistent NFL the past four seasons. I'd expect 9 wins if shit goes poorly, 11 wins if shit goes smoothly. I'll officially put myself down for a prediction of 10 wins.

And for the people talking about Qwest Field, if you guys are really Hawks fans you simply have got to go atleast once this year. I've seen NFL games in 13 different venues, and Qwest Field is the best, hands down.

...and I need to change my sig, I'll work on that.

My first Seahawk game was the week after 9/11 at Husky Stadium, I remember Hasslebeck was sucking it up and they booed him non-stop, then Holmgren brought Dilfer in. I never thought Hasslebeck would be as good as he is now.

Ive been to Qwest a few times, mainly for Soccer games, but yeah their isn't a bad seat in the whole stadium.

shit, I remember how badly I hated hassleback. I remember saying "put Dilfer in!!" all the time. He was a nervous wreck on the field at times - any signs of defensive pressure and you could see him just melt down and freak the fuck out. Kind of like how Rex Grossman can be. Hopefully Lovie's patience will be rewarded like Holmgrens.

well, we were 2-0 against the seahawks last year. Gotta agree tho, Seahawks have been consistent as fuck, they are always a threat in the NFC West

Call me crazy but I think the surprise team of the NFC this year will be the Rams. Their offense is insanely good and if they improve on defense, which I hear they have, they will be a force. Steven Jackson is a madman, both rushing and receiving, Bulger is probably top 3 or 4 QB's in the league, plus they have like 10 excellent receivers.

Yep. Steven Jackson had 1500+ yards rushing and 800+ receiving last year with almost 20 TD's. That's insanity!

Bulger had 4300 yards passing, over 62% completions, 24 TD's 8 Int's and a rating of 92.9. Every year he's played except one he's had over a 90 QB rating.

Then you got two 1000 yard receivers - Terry Holt, isaac bruce. Add Drew Bennett, Dante Hall, Randy McMichael, etc. shits crazy

the rams look like a sleeper team in the nfc, but to me they're somewhere in between a wild card team, but at the same time, they look like they can also be out of the playoff race.

i understand drew bennett and randy mcmichael aren't the greatest individual talents, i think they will have a chance to strive being around players like steven jackson, torry holt, isaac bruce, and marc bulger.

but their defense looks real suspect aside from the defensive line. will witherspoon is their only good linebacker, and god, their secondary just looks like it's gonna get shitted on each week.

Yep it all depends on their Defense but shit, even if it can just manage to be OK they can make the playoffs in the NFC I think, even if they don't win their division, since their offense should be able to control the ball well and put up points.

I was listening to 950 KJR today and one of the guys on there was asked "in order for the Seahawks to get into the Super Bowl, what will they need to do?"

Simply he said they need to convert on 3rd down.

I cant agree with him more, they were a few first downs away from reaching the Super Bowl last year, not to mention they could of won a few more games if they were able to convert some first downs.

I agree. Biggest difference between '05 Seahawks and '06 Seahawks on offense was 3rd & short.

'05 3rd & short was simply automatic, last year it was a tossup.

yeah last night they looked pretty good, Leonard Weaver looks like he has the size and speed to make some long runs, especially on third down and he can catch.

Seahawks looked good on Saturday. I cant wait for the real season to begin.

I think I heard the same shit. They were saying their problem was that Alexander doesn't do 3rd downs, either because he doesn't want to or because he just doesn't have the skills to be a 3rd down back (as far as receiving goes) so they've had Mack Strong in at 3rd down, which is ok for pass blocking but he's not the type of guy you're going to dump a pass to or do a quick draw and gain 6-8 yards or whatever. So they're hoping someone like Weaver can play that role.

Doesn't matter if they didn't finish higher in the standings, can the 1992 Denver Broncos talk shit about the 1992 Seattle Seahawks? I think so (look at the records), but the 92 Hawks beat them.
