can't say i'm disappointed with ROCK, cause i was not expecting much in the first place. I have never felt quinn's music since he put out the single "shock the party". the ONLY song i've heard and actually bumped more than once is "bounce wit me". props to quinn for tryin to make in the mainstream, that can only be a good thing for the bay, not sure he's the right one to rep the bay tho. also if he wants fans in other areas he shouldn't have named his album after a wrestler.
LOL are you serious?! The Rock aka Alcatraz... Ya Smell what the Quinns Coooookin

mayne I am lovin this album right now....its got a few classic Quinn songs that make you wanna just sit back and vibe with the smooth ass beats ("Look What I've done for them"..."Do That for me") its got the street bangers like "the Hunter" and "Kick Yo ass"....its got the song you listen to while chillin in the hot tub with ya soul mate "So Young, So Sweet" and its got the certified club banger and hit single "Hell Yeah"......and you say the album is incomplete???!!!

Quinn's Album is nice work. Now a days people don't like to evolve with the artists. All of the sudden fans want to guide or control what the artist chooses to write and how they are feeling when they were recording the album ya know. You gotta open your ears and listen to what this person wanted to let out at that time...and love it if it's good..and Quinn did his thang once again. Tight album.
co-sign^^^ took the words out my mouth!

does this mean that if I liked an artist back in the dayz I must like anything he drops even if I really think it's weak???

artists can evolve in a new direction but fans are those who decide if they like that direction or not

I know that QUINN has skills on the mic and all but I'm not convinced that he'll ever make a complete album. The beats are subpar, sometimes he talks instead of raps and it sounds real boring and tired, and if this is what DONEDEAL waited so long to put out then it might be a rap for them. I'm keeping it real. The artists in the bay who actually know how to put together a complete album are: E 40, YUK(most definitely!!!), MESSY MARV(got two underground smashes that sound major), TOO SHORT, LAROO, SPICE 1, THE JACKA and SOULS OF MISCHIEF. I would say KEAK but alot of folks don't know what he's saying most of the time and that ain't appealing to the average listener. That's not a diss to anyone but that's a fact. The best I've ever heard QUINN was on the DONEDEAL:ROCK THE PARTY mixtape.
If yall wanna push an artist from Northern Cali, it's either YUK or MESS and that's it. Holla back with yall opinions.
live and direct, hustle continues and explosive mode were complete albums.

after a few listens...

the album is better than I thought. The hype surrounding it may have swayed my opinion some but if QUINN would have shortened the tracklist to about 14-16 songs then I wouldn't have to skip thru those "throwaways" on it. The album is better and more balanced than I gave it credit for. QUINN STILL NEEDS the best production because when he gets top notch beats it brings out the best in him on the mic.

I really was excited bout tha cd with all the hype going around about it b4 it came out, but once I actually got it and listened to it, it didnt live up to my expectations. Its not like its a horrible cd, but I guess I was too wrapped up in the hype and expected a lot

AS MUCH AS PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HIM ON THESE BOARDS FOR BEING A SWINDLER. JT THE BIGGA ON THE BEATS AND QUINN ON THE MIC = HUSTLE CONTINUES AND LIVE AND DIRECT. YOU DO THE MATH! NOT TO MENTION ALL THE GLP ALBUMS FIRE! PEOPLE SAY WHY DO WE LIVE IN THE PAST? WELL IF THE RECORDS NOT BROKEN DON'T FIX IT. YEAH CHANGE THE SUBJECTS AS LIFE GOES ON BUT AS FAR AS DELIVERY AND EMOTION ITS NOT THE SAME. THE ROCK ALBUM IS GOOD NOT GREAT. AND I THINK THE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ARE LOOKING TO COMPARE IT TO THE 1ST 2 ALBUMS. WELL LEARN NOT TO DO THAT AND ADAPT TO THE NEW QUINN. STILL A GOOD ARTIST BUT NOT THE SAME ARTIST.

The person who called the beats on "i give you my word" cause they have the same feel, a album is suppoed to have the same feel, not sound like a fucking complilation.

Its kinda funny what y'all are saying...quinn hella addressed this in his interview in Ruckus magazine saying "People be like 'I wanna hear how you rapped on the Hustle Continues and Explosive mode. I wanna hear the old Quinn!' What they tryna do is get that time period in they life back that they was listening to me at. They want 1996 back as a whole, but they ain't gonna be able to get that time period back 'cause it's 2005(2006 now), so I have to advance for the people who haven't heard me, while still makin' shit for my fans. My fans will be more satisfied with this record"
