as far as the billboards.........hammer is crushing every nigga in the bay, does that make him the hottest bay rapper ever?????

think about that

dont get me wrong, yuck is dope but he spends too much time beefin. his skills get lost in the mixx

no hate ( siccness thugs) but i always felt san quinns delivery is not good enough for his lyrics to shine and his flows offbeat sometimes and he always sound tired as fuck. he made some bangers tho im not gonna lie but overall im just not feeling quinn that much hes overrated..

THATS MY OPINION!!!

the new quinn is a dope album, period. its too bad a lot of people on this board listened to it once and hopped on here calling it a disappointment or "over-hyped". listen to that shit a few more times through and your opinion might change.

shit give a chance man, let that shit soak in a couple days, man i like pretty much every song but like 2, that getlow songs kinda weak, it could of been better, but as far as "i give you my word" that was more of a bay album and yea it was a classic but he touchin the world with this one i think...more of a nationwide appeal you feel me

I know that QUINN has skills on the mic and all but I'm not convinced that he'll ever make a complete album. The beats are subpar, sometimes he talks instead of raps and it sounds real boring and tired, and if this is what DONEDEAL waited so long to put out then it might be a rap for them. I'm keeping it real. The artists in the bay who actually know how to put together a complete album are: E 40, YUK(most definitely!!!), MESSY MARV(got two underground smashes that sound major), TOO SHORT, LAROO, SPICE 1, THE JACKA and SOULS OF MISCHIEF. I would say KEAK but alot of folks don't know what he's saying most of the time and that ain't appealing to the average listener. That's not a diss to anyone but that's a fact. The best I've ever heard QUINN was on the DONEDEAL:ROCK THE PARTY mixtape.
If yall wanna push an artist from Northern Cali, it's either YUK or MESS and that's it. Holla back with yall opinions.
I respect your opinon on that. I feel the same way. People will love anything that quinn does, if he raps over a beat of jungle animals and fart/burp noises they would think its the tightest thing ever. People worship shit on the board specially if it came from their favorite rapper. This is one of quinn's worst cds right along with the mighty quinn. Seems like when chuck was fucking with done deal they would put more heart into the cd. all the cds came out tight when chuck was with done deal. maybe its just me and you and hella others who dont like the cd and hella others who love it.

There's a lot of blind allegiance on this board, but it goes for damn near everything. For some people it's the same for 40, for some it's the same for hyphy music as a whole. You might be that way about a certain artist. I haven't seen enough of your posts to know, but people are gonna have their opinions and a lot of 'em are gonna be hardheaded about it.

That being said, I'm very impressed with Quinn's new album. I think it's a step up from IGYMW. But I'll also admit that there are four songs on it that I just do not play. The beats on those four just do not work for me. In my eyes that's still a damn good album, especially these days when it's hard to find four songs you like on an album.

Quinn's Album is nice work. Now a days people don't like to evolve with the artists. All of the sudden fans want to guide or control what the artist chooses to write and how they are feeling when they were recording the album ya know. You gotta open your ears and listen to what this person wanted to let out at that time...and love it if it's good..and Quinn did his thang once again. Tight album.

Quinn's album the rock was a HUGE disapointment to me...i always think he can do better...i dont know if sumone is in his ear sayin doin it like this or if this is all his direction in where he wanna go...but for me a long time Quinn supporter, Quinn's skillz wasnt showcased on this project...

i mean the nigguh quinn raps slow almost through the whole album...didnt quinn say this one is gonna be back to the old quinn?? i mean he even said that on "i give you my word" which was not the case to me...quinn is sounded more and more like " i wanna be mainstream" sound then anytin close to wut he used to be...i gave it sumtime for his album to sink in and my conclusion is im hatin it more and more, well hate is a strong word so let me say more and more disapointed...theres prolly only 3-4 songs i like on there...the album as a whole doesnt knock hard at all.

i know he a more mature Quinn now...but dayam i guess i gotta get used to it...but i dont gotta like it...and for future albums i will definitly listen first before i support his future dispointments. but i dont know im kinda gettin tired of his subpar work

yuk is only one year older then quinn so that dont make no sense... and yuk sells the most records in the bay right now so if he is a hasbeen then what does that say about the rest of the bay ?

IMO its kinda like this new Mary J Blige album that recently came out...to me her shit aint like it used to be,it dont feel the same...her work sounded more real when she was strugglin in life or when she had more pain to share..now that she doin all good her music seems different...and for me Quinns shit seems the same...when he didnt care so much about being on tv/mainstream and was all out mobb muzik he shit COULD NOT BE TOUCHED!!! but now that he is hella focused on "makin it" it sounds more watered down..he speakin more slow to understand his beats are more hiphopish he even speakin more maturely...it dont match for me...to rap gangsta shit ova a hiphop beat or the other way around...
messy marv is a perfect example of how the once two are now different and how each has different success

JUST IMO...

ONE MORE THING:
when you put pressure on a rock it it just breaks..but if you put pressure on a piece of cole.... that turns into a diamond!!!

can't say i'm disappointed with ROCK, cause i was not expecting much in the first place. I have never felt quinn's music since he put out the single "shock the party". the ONLY song i've heard and actually bumped more than once is "bounce wit me". props to quinn for tryin to make in the mainstream, that can only be a good thing for the bay, not sure he's the right one to rep the bay tho. also if he wants fans in other areas he shouldn't have named his album after a wrestler.
