The Corked bad is a lighter bat. Therefore your swing at the ball is faster and more powerful! Which makes the ball go further (hitters that strike out alot feel more confidence using this type of bat wich explains Sammy's situation)! But the million dollar question for those who dont think a corked bat doesnt makes a difference in hitting....why is it illegal to use in the major league then?

If im so slow, and the answers are so obvious then answer them. What tests were done, who did them, and what were the results? Im asuming you were there during the tests because you have yet to state the answer to my original question on how you know of these things (because you heard from someone on TV). Your partner over there just showed some test results that says corked bats do hit the ball further. Now...

How were the tests done?
Who did the tests?
What were the results?

normal bat that hits a ball 400ft.,would travel only 403ft. with a corked bat.
Thats still a big difference in baseball. That could be the difference between an outfielder catching a ball or it going beyond his reach. It could be the difference between a ball hitting the top of the fence or going over the fence. Three feet in baseball is a BIG DIFFERENCE.

You also have to take into consideration, that it isn't just about longball homeruns. A batter using a corked bat isn't necesarily trying to hit it over the fence. With faster bat speed a hitter can aim his hits and knock doubles around much more effeciently.

it's not a big difference when you are talking about 400+ feet. in todays "hitters" parks all it takes for a homerun is between 300 and 360 feet in most parks

I'm saying it's cheating, but it's a very miniscule advantage, kinda like how 50% of the players put pinetar higher than 18 inches.Left handed pitchers not steping towards first on pick off moves, phantom tags, area calls, stealing signs, relaying signs, kicking the chalk around the batters box so you can stand outside the intended box...etc..
