Without the demise of youtube, celebrity and reality TV, and a huge portion of the American public returning to reading books and becoming informed, this will never happen.

Voting for a libertarian candidate is not a world-changing decision. In America, we don't call it the 'almighty dollar' for no reason.

'The Almighty Dollar' was more a reference to the fact that business and government in America are so in bed with each other they can't fake orgasms.

No real pragmatist is going to ignore a U.S dollar because they don't like America. It's more a statement on the American economy. The move to reject the American dollar is solely a Middle Eastern fundamentalist movement. The valuation of US dollars will always trump how someone feels about America.

Unglue ourselves from the TV, major news and media outlets.

Get off youtube, myspace, and all the other bullshit that we waste time with online.

Start demanding more from local and regional government.

Of course, I'm too busy trying to survive to be interested. It's a vicious cycle.

Its a problem endemic to Republicans and Democrats

I think Ron Paul 'woke up' a small, previously uninvolved minority

Most of the people politically active are aligned on either side of the two parties

Ron Paul's constituency was people previously inactive

Even if he got a million votes, hes still about 49 million away from being a contender

And I swear on my mother's life Ron Paul has no chance of ever becoming a US President

Does mclean still use that ex-dodgers picture for his avy?

Is dirty still banned from here or does he post in the open forum?
mclean every once in a blue moon will post in the sports forum, he isn't banned from any forum that I'm aware of. Dirty shoez I haven't seen post in a long time, he's still banned from the GOM if I remember correctly. I offered to get him unbanned and he wrote this lengthly reply saying in order for him to "accept" the siccness would need to apologize, amongst other things. LMAO!!!
