Do mature folks have a sense of humor? Absolutely. Do mature folks, when hearing of a death of man who was doing something he considered honorable to help his fellow countrymen, laugh and exclaim, "what a fucking idiot!" No, they do not. And, yes, that reaction is pissing on someone's grave.
I laughed at the response by the person I quoted.

This is the SICCNESS. A place where the majority of people listen to "cannable music" and speak openly about different topics. That is exactly what I did. I read the article and I posted exactly what I was thinking. I'm not going to bite my tounge because I'm scared if someone is offended! It's obvious you think very highly of this Tillman fellow, but I don't. I think he was an idiot and his foolishness cost him the ultimate price.

RE: "You insulted me first."

That one caught me off guard. I just went and reviewed the thread. I assume you're talking about my statement that you're a child. I would assume from your comment that you had responded in kind, but I don't see where you've leveled any manner of personal insults towards me. Have I misinterpreted?
That is my mistake. It should have read, "Remember, you insulted me"

Not only was it the child remark it was also what came after that, "I only hope that someday you're able to pull your head out of your rear and think about someone besides yourself."

RIP to an American Hero

He left the NFL to help, you cant deny that.

We brought down a terrible regime in Sadam

Dont pull the troops out, but show no mercy, if the middle east is not going to get along, we need to prove to them they cant win, even if it means bombings and not just 1 or 2, but a lot. They willl realize they cant win but we are just playing by the rules and cant shoot anybody unless being shot at which is BS

and if he stayed? dood felt it was a duty that he was willing to sacrifice for u and me. it makes me proud to see a sports star make a decision NOT about money...talk about fucking courage. he turned his whole life about maybe not the smartest decision, but he did something that he was proud in doing, and ya'll should be paying some homage to him...while u fucking sit on the computer and say stoopid shit about him. He did it because he felt it was more important to him, and he wasnt scared, and to me, thats way more respectable that what 95% of sports players do.

Listen dog, I don't need to pay homage to this guy. He didn't sacrafice shit for YOU and ME, he sacraficed his life for the government. Do you think it would make a difference to us if this guy was in the NFL or died in afganistan? Shit, we would still be in front of our computers.

There is a fine line between bravery and idiocy.

I respect the fact that he was able to turn down money, BUT he still had a family he needed to take care of.

i dont think he was made his decision for the government dogg...not all people that go into the army are complete idiots that are under control of the government, and are doing something for the government that they dont know about. They could be doing it for the country. Besides, getting into the details, make the "government argument with iraq"...lets remember that with Afghanistan, we're still trying to find Bin Laden. u have the argument that people realize they are fighting for the govenrnment, and they may not know it, but thats beside the point. im just sayin it pisses me off when people sit here and call him stupid and pay any respect to people like that.
