Man, im all the way out here in Australia but i been bumping Mac Dre for fuckin years, he was one of the first Bay artists that I started listenin too, and i got to admit im shocked as fuck over this. i just watched Treal TV the other day and was thinkin to myself how he seems like a real down to earth funny cool person.
RIP
^^ Real talk, the UK sends its condolences too.
Like FILA I always thought Mac Dre had something special about him, dude was just plain funny off top and had charisma while being real down to earth in all his music and on Treal TV.
This has knocked me more than Pac or anyone, I got like 500 or so Bay CD's out here, 1500 rap albums, but I've got more Mac Dre than of any other cat. Only last week I had 12 albums of his including the Romp's, in my ride.
Dude was blessed with some almighty talent. He was hella original, he was unique, he didn't try and go the industry route and he never relied on features or the production flava of the time. He was a trendsetter not a follower.
I always remember the chubby white dude on a video clip left off of Treal TV which was linked for download on the Thizz website. "I don't listen to rap, but I know who the fuck Mac Dre is" That is real. He touched everyone.
Rest in Paradise to a true legend from one of his many worldwide fans. I think someone already said it best on this thread - there will never be another. They just don't make rappers like that no more.
R.I.P.
